If I get a Wii U, I won't be able to play with two of the three friends I play Smash with. Hell, I'm not even sure if I'll be able to get a Wii U, since the Oculus Rift comes before a Wii U for me and it'll be plenty expensive. Don't get me wrong, the game looks great, but part of me wishes they made another home console that you could play the game on, or at least made it compatible with the Wii.

Kind of a pipe dream, but SSB toolkits would be fun. Even if people just made broken as hell characters to play with among friends, you could at least get your favorites into the game. I wonder how people have been modding it so far, since there's no official stuff.

She looks pretty. :3 I do think it's odd that they're revealing all of the Mario veterans first. The pattern so far has been to reveal veterans based on upcoming releases (Olimar with Pikmin 3, Luigi with Dream Team). There were no big releases this month, sure, but Super Mario 3D World comes out in November. They could've saved her until then. Also: I was kinda hoping for Toad, but oh well. Bowser Jr. has always been my top pick for a new Mario character, if they do add one.

I myself wouldn't be against another Mario newcomer. Mostly because there's tons of untapped moveset possibilities from the Mario Series. Actually I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't tried to make a fighting game with nothing but Mario characters yet.

Honestly I'm sick of seeing Toad occupy spots that could otherwise be held by far more interesting characters, so I'm glad to see him confirmed as unplayable.

I never understood why people always thought Toad would get in. Considering he's always been a part of peach's moveset, the only way they could make it work is by having Toadsworth or Toadette, unique toads, being playable.

I fucking love Peach. I dunno why, but she's one of my favorite characters. I dominate with her. That recovery, that counter.

I wonder how much they changed? There are a few new moves in these Screenshots.
