Looking at the screens he looks exactly the same as Brawl actually. Same bow and bombs and UP-B and all. I hope there's something new :/

I will be really disappointed if they don't cut anyone (assuming of course they're all as similar to their Brawl incarnations as Toony seems to be). Brawl had a lot of fat that Smash 4 would benefit from trimming [B]coughcough clonesthatshareBmovesandhaveinvertedamoves coughcough[/B] We didn't need 3 Star Fox characters, and especially not 3 Star Fox characters that share the same specials and Final Smash. It'd be great if the two PSI using striped shirt youths had attacks that were functionally different (as in instead of two neutral specials where you charge up energy and hit an enemy with it, they get different moves). I'd love it if Ganondorf had a moveset inspired by his games and not by the remains of Smash 64 before it was Smash Bros (that is also shared by a character who previously had no fighting techniques shown). If they cut Ike now, I'll be pissed. Because there's literally no reason to cut a character with a unique moveset when you keep clones/semi-clones/characters that function so similarly that despite certain key differences feel like the same character but they're not similar enough to be clones while still being close enough to feel like wastes of space/whatever you want to call them. tl;dr fuck

Is it me, or does toon link look a little off in the screenshots? He doesn't look, yano, stylized...

It's nice to see Toon Link back, he's one of my favourite characters to use in Brawl so seeing him available to use in the next game is awesome.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Sakurai said that he's removing clones, or at least revamping them or something.

Well this puts a huge wrench in who I thought was going to be cut. I was 99.9% sure that Toon Link was gone just because he was the last character variation character.

This kind of factors into what I said earlier. Maybe the presence of clones means that they're going for a bigger roster. Toon Link is like the embodiment of quanity over quality.

Mr_Awesome, Keychain, Everything (on his dream roster, at least), and I all predicted him. Besides, one character doesn't necessarily spell an instant loss for anybody. If Fangz predicts everyone else correctly except Toon Link, then he wins, for example.

I wonder if they're going to announce a new Pokemon rep for the release of X&Y

Honestly, it would make sense. People will be super excited about the release of a new generation of Pokemon games, and announcing a Smash Bros newcomer would add to the hype really well, while also giving people who don't enjoy the Pokemon games so much a reason to be excited. However, I'm actually not going to get my hopes up for a newcomer, in case they only announce a veteran. I'd be surprised if there was no character announced at all, though.

It's good to see one of my mains return. Toon Link was a lot better of a character than people credit him for. Link's dynamic moveset with the ability to actually position yourself for them due to increased speed? Heck yes. [editline]t[/editline] I'd love to see him get a new final smash though; Ballad of Gales. When used it summons several large whirlwinds which do heavy damage to any they catch and fling them skyward.
