Most of the response to him there seems to be positive, people being thankful the Spirit Tracks stage didn't indicate he wouldn't be returning, and wondering if he'll be a starter and not an unlockable. Why do people keep thinking that Nintendo will change Toon Link? They've never done anything that would hint they'd put that to work. The most they ever did with that was give Mario F.L.U.D.D., make falco kick his reflector, and make Ganondorf's grab your face with darkness. Otherwise, they're considerably still clones.

They've also increased Luigi's jump height and hangtime, made Samus both faster and more powerful, and changed a good portion of Pit's moveset (he now has weapons from Uprising instead of things like the shield and his broken-as-fuck side+B spin thing) I wouldn't put it past them to change a lot more, clone or not. [editline]t[/editline] Also, as a reminder, they changed a lot more about Falco than just his down+B. They changed the physics and launch angles of nearly all of his attacks. Playing Falco in Melee and Brawl feel totally different.

You may be right about Pit, though.

I genuinely hope they bring back Meta Knight and do it correctly this time. Keep his speed and focus on mobility and quick strikes, but reduce his attack priority to near rock bottom to compensate. His biggest issue in Brawl was that he could cancel 90%+ of all moves in the game with his neutral B or shuttle loop side+B, making it virtually impossible for the average player to hit him if you just keep spamming them. Drastically reduce the knockback and hitstun of most of his attacks and either change his tornado spin or reduce its hitbox, and he should balance out.

I was hoping for a new Zelda character in place of Toon Link but I'm cool with it, I main Toon Link. I thought David Bow- sorry, Ghirahim would possibly stand a chance. Now doubtful. Which is a shame because he'd be a bit more unique that other characters.

I'm expecting Mewtwo to make a return, with the final smash going mega (which form, I'm not sure).

In addition to Diddy I would say Dixie is also in. She was in the Brawl Beta and all Beta characters get in eventually. Plus she's in the upcoming Donkey Kong. One thing the Sony All Stars game did very well was alt cosutmes. It's nice to have 1-2 different looks for characters. Like Wario.

The only characters that have basically been wrecked by Toon Link's return are any other variations of Link (Mask Link, Classic Link, CDi Link, etc.).

Now I'm just waiting on a confirmed Chrom, a Mother representative, and some Pokemon representative that isn't Pikachu or Jigglypuff. Then I'll be golden.

I mean yeah the games are normally filled with a blue haired guy with a sword but still, Roy was red haired.... I don't know anymore I'm probably just arguing with myself about who I want in now.

I still say we're getting a new Mario series rep; either Bowser Jr., Paper Mario or Waluigi and E. Gadd as an assist trophy

Pretty much the main character of Awakening and can use both swords and magic. (So can Ganondorf but they kinda messed up with that one) Plus it can totally break the "the only fire emblem representatives are lords" thing. I'm not sure how much demand there is for Ice Climbers. I wonder if they'll get the axe despite being a two game veteran duo.

They were apparently working on them if the 3DS comments were anything to go by. I can't see anything which could fill their spot, either. Most of the characters that were removed between versions had a similar newcomer.

Apparently they were having trouble getting Ice Climbers to work on the 3DS? Since a 4 player Ice Climber battle would have 8 climbers running around. Really annoys me that they're restricting everything to what the 3DS can do.

That problem's probably been overcome if they confirmed Olimar and his many pikmin.

I've got a pretty nifty idea for Toon Link's final smash. You go into the "in-front-of-Link" perspective like in Wind Waker. You have several melodies to choose from. Depending on the melody you choose, it has a different difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard). The harder the melody, and the better you do in it, the more devastating the final smash.
