That problem's probably been overcome if they confirmed Olimar and his many pikmin.
I doubt 6 Pikmin are anywhere near as hard to implement and keep a reasonable framerate as a copy of a character who mimics the player's every move. All the Pikmin do is follow Olimar. Ice Climbers are pretty much two characters who work as one.
Well, if they don't implement the duo, they could use Bonkers from the Kirby games.

But might make way too many Kirby characters... Plus... is just a mini-boss with no real story... compared to DDD or Meta Knight.
But just a thought. It's the Nintendo character that came to mind when thinking about their moveset.
Without the Wind Waker lightwrap, he looks like a Mii.
Closer to an Xbox Avatar with larger eyes.
The lightwarp is nearly identical to that.
I still say we're getting a new Mario series rep; either Bowser Jr., Paper Mario or Waluigi
and E. Gadd as an assist trophy
That makes me think, why didn't they keep Peach's reveal for when Mario 3D World comes out?
I bet Bowser Jr is gonna play a big part in the story and he'll be a Smash newcomer.
Bowser Jr. added would be awesome. He could have a somewhat similar moveset to Bowser - though with much shorter range and lower power - but with notably increased movement and attack speed, and his B moves based around trickster tools like the koopa clown car and the Gadd industries brush.
Plus it can totally break the "the only fire emblem representatives are lords" thing.
Probably not as relevant as who we have now, and overshadowed by Ike but

Would I be mistaken to say she isn't a lord? as in, nobility? My FE is a little rusty.

He could probably be fitted over Squirtle's moveset if Pokemon Trainer isn't in, using lava instead of water

we still haven't seen Olimar with more than 3 Pikmin

A Pokemon X/Y Trainer would be neat, using the latest gen's starters.
Chespin, Frogadier, and whatever the heck Fennekin's final will be, with an emphasis on speed, knockback/throws, and power, respectively.

Lord is like, a class in Fire Emblem. Sort of. Lords are like, your really important and unique main characters. Strictly speaking, she isn't a lord, but she pretty much has the role of one.

...why does he need to change? Gen 1 Starters are given to you in XY, and it's confirmed that Gen 6 Pokemon don't get Megas, taking out the potential for a Mega Final Smash with Charizard.
I didn't say it HAS to.
What I meant was that if they change it for whatever reason (to promote the newer games a bit better maybe?), that idea could work.
I really want to see Poppy Bros. in the new smash either as an Assist trophy or a character
I'd like to see Donut Man

I will however always prefer PizzaBot, his arch nemesis.

Just wait until you see Pikachu's new final smash

The Miiverse community for SSB4, my god. It will be nothing but pictures of characters doing funny things or recreating internet memes.
Fine then. My Unit / Avatar / Robin. Pretty much the main character of Awakening and can use both swords and magic. (So can Ganondorf but they kinda messed up with that one)
Plus it can totally break the "the only fire emblem representatives are lords" thing.

Not gonna happen, but a man can dream.
Except Robin is pretty much a lord in all but name? Lords are just the main characters who cause game overs if they die. Robin shares every gameplay related mechanic that lords have, as did the Avatar from FE12.

Leaked image of Volt Tackle.
Was there really a point to wall jumping? it was neat but it barely ever provided an advantage
I miss taking screenshots in Brawl

Other than that DK climbing stage and the subspace emissary. Nothing really. At least nothing I can think of other than a stage where the edge actually had walls, which was rare unless it was a custom stage.
It helps out if you're being juggled against a wall by a character with long windups. It helps a LOT in that scenario, and becomes incredibly effective on maps like Shadow Moses.
It also serves as an additional 2-3 jumps added to your recovery if the stage suits it.

:v:
Oh, so it's something that only the top tier players can use.
it can be useful in stages with deep pits with walls like Fourside and uh.. yeah
Brawl's Final Destination, Fountain of Dreams, Yoshi levels... If the main platform isn't just floating there, you can use it to recover.
I really hope for a City Trials stage from Kirby Air Ride
