Well, first of all, it'd be xenophobic, not racist. Japan is a country and not an ethnical group. Second, while the wording isn't really the most appropiate one, the point that said country has a strong tendency to infravalorate foreign efforts in expense of their own stuff cannot be refuted, and that's an important point to take into account, specially when coupled with the fact that the Prime series is pretty much ignored in said country in favor of the objectivelly inferior yet Japanese-developed Other M. A smart choice would be to swallow the patriotic pride and go with the foreign guys that made the throughly sucessful games. And sexism is still deeply ingrained in Japanese culture, and Other M shows that exactly. Genderswapping Samus and Adam there would leave something unthinkable for Sakamoto, but also, from what I know, the average Japanese. Office ladies are expected to marry and stop working to stay at home, while office gentlemen are expected to go drink with their workmates and have their familiar life in second term. Women are expected to be submisive, to use a fucking different set of pronouns that, if used by a man, denote an extreme ammount of politeness or something. Seriously, that's bullshit in my opinion. I'll gladly listen to any counterargument that goes beyond "that's racist". I don't like certain aspects of the Japanese culture, just like I don't like certain aspects of Islam or of academia. Being considered a second class person just because of being female is a disgusting element of any culture/religion/anything, and you just cannot call somebody racist for pointing that out and speaking against it. As for my wording, my apologices. I tend to use the "master race" way too often in a joking purpose (ie: Mewtwo master race, Melee master race...), and it slipped where it shouldn't. Still, the Japanese culture has an intense national pride that verges on superiority, and a deeply ingrained sexism. And I think unwarranted sense of superiority and sexism aren't exactly virtues to be exhalted. Correct me if I am wrong tho, this isn't an anti-Japanese tirade, it is criticism of what little may I know of their culture. Racist? Bullshit doesn't understand of races, ethnicities or nationalities. Bullshit is bullshit, and going around feeling superior to other human being because you were born in a specific place, have different general factions or a different set of genitalia are examples of bullshit. And I am too young and impulsive to respect bullshit with a straight face. If my knowledge about Japanese culture or the details thereof is incomplete to the degree that the reality outright contradicts something I may have stated, please let me know so I can improve my opinions. And sorry for the huge off-topic tirade, I'll just leave it at that and say that I'll keep expecting a playable Ridley.

Zelda takes same amount of resources as two separate characters, and she acts like separate characters, and people treat Zelda and Sheik like separate characters, so functionally they are separate characters.

Other M is tearing us apart. I'm just gonna talk about Sonic. I think Chemical Plant Zone would be a cool stage for Sonic. Though we are probably going to get Planet Wisp or a Generations style Green Hill Zone. But seriously look at this concept art. I realise Green Hill Zone is iconic, but it's also generic and one of the most boring levels in the franchises history.

you know what would be cool but probably impossible if there was a stage like one of those mini planets in Super Mario Galaxy where you can actually go around them and be subjected to the gravity on that planet and there were several of them on one stage so you can hop around.

That'd be a hell of a gimmick. Hitting someone so hard they break away from the planets gravitational pull would be amazing though.

Sonic actually had no original remixes for Brawl if I remember correctly. So if he reappears, giving him some proper remixes would be appreciated. He WAS added fairly late into development if I remember correctly. edit: If I remember correctly I really overused "iirc" in this post. Fuck.

So it kinda conflicts with what Don Knotts said, so are they going for most recent or most iconic? Obviously they're going for most recent.

Link is using his Twilight Princess appearance but more colorful, they're using whatever designs they want.

In fact they need to either tweak or just get rid of those attacks that just -nudge- players around, like the FLUDD's water and Squirtle's watergun.

I would like it if Alt costumers for Link include the different Eras. So a OOT link, a Skyward link, and the TP link. Along with all the alt colours. Maybe a Link to the Past Link too. I hope costumes are a lot more interesting in general than just different colours. I like how Wario had different outfits. Doctor Mario could be a mario alt.

Doctor Mario could be a mario alt.[/QUOTE] I say give the 3D Zelda color palettes and costumes to adult Link (OoT, the Zora/magic armor from TP, etc) and give the 2D Pallettes and costumes to Toon Link (ALttP, the original LoZ, etc)
