I think we all know that we need a Balloon fight stage.
I like having Snake in it for the reason that he doesn't fit with the rest. Its loads of games together, theres no specific genre or style. And Bayonetta would work.
If that's the case, let's get some characters that nobody would remember.
Like Buck Bumble.
Or Bomberman.
Or hell, Double 007 if that's the case.
Chrono
I think Jiggz is a girl, too.
Strictly speaking, Jigglypuff could me male or female, in spite of its looks and voice (as far as I know, anyway).

I'd be down for that, after all that's basically what they did with Pit.
also what the fuck are you smoking, no one remembers Bomberman or fucking James Bond?

Just like Kirby is in fact a guy, and Yoshi as well despite laying fucking eggs.
I count all the Pokeymans as androgynous considering they could all be of either gender with no way to tell them apart.
I hope that the Donkey Kong franchise gets more love this time around. DK is my main and I'd love to have some more stages based on Donkey Kong Country.

Gang Plank Galleon please.
Where is King K Rool as a playable character.
Mario confirmed for Super Smash Bros 4 breaking news guys

Pikachu is most likely a male.

Females have a heart-shaped notch on their tail as of 4th gen, which Brawl was released after.
Palkia inverts the screen vertically. I mean invert the gravity outright, having 2 floating platforms with their own gravitational field that you can access by double-jumping off some soft platforms. It'd be hard to do vertical KOs but it can be made into a workable stage.
I'm proposing a gravity thing that's primarily based on where in the stage you're located, Palkia did things randomly and that's how it screwed with people.
Upon retrospect, having vertical KOs in a map that has inverted gravity is kinda silly.
I was thinking that gravity would not shift until the player had full control over their character, which means that a vertical KO can be done if you hit someone hard enough and they just go rocketing out of boundaries. In retrospect, that means you can hit someone really hard, they regain control near the top of the screen and instead of being able to recover, they'd fall upward and off the top of the map. So horizontal KOs only with a ceiling and floor that spans the entirety of the map.
I think they can make that work.
One thing I really miss from Melee was the orchestra. In Brawl there was barley any orchestrated tracks. I loved hearing classic Nintendo themes with a big orchestra.
I hope there's more in SSB4
I'm hoping for some FE Awakening tracks in this one. That soundtrack was god(s)like.
I hope the stage creator is updated to be better. I enjoyed making stages where I could practice techniques or dick around in.
no clue how it would work, but i think a good character for a smash bros game would be the Scythian from sword and sworcery ep

I loved all of the glitches. :v:
Teleporter glitches, blocks that can be jumped through at just the right angle, boxes that everybody starts in and nobody can get out of without using a warp star or something, etc. Good times.

I'd kill to see a SSB4 SDK release with the game. Imagine the endless possibilities and replay value with community made add-ons, characters, stages, game modes and so forth!

If they bring it back, they better not put any limits as to what can be put on and where they can be placed. Those stupid red squares ruined a few good design ideas I had...

even better
I had an idea a while back regarding controls.
I always found it annoying how I would do a smash attack when I try to do a tilt move, when I input things for tilts, I tend to not wait at all before pressing A, so it registers as a smash move.
The C-stick is used exclusively for smash attacks (unless you rebind it), so I figured that having the option to restrict your smash moves to only when you hit the C-stick would be a welcomed option. Of course, the C-stick would need to be able to charge attacks as long as you're holding the C-stick in that direction.
I had the same gripe with tap jumping and they added a toggle to disable it, so I figured that another toggle can't hurt in the sequel.
Maybe I'm just bad at doing the up-tilt, forward-tilt, and down-tilt attacks, but I can't see any downside to having such a thing as an option. I can't think of any way to make it so I do a f-tilt instead of a dash attack, but that's probably just me being too enthusiastic with my control stick :v:

I think (in melee at least) you could charge Cstick smash attacks with Cstick+Z

Incorrect. The C-stick is also used for aerial attacks in MP and moving the camera in SP (at least in Melee, anyway). :eng101:

Charging smash attacks after initiating them with the C-stick is already possible. Dunno about Brawl, but in Melee, you just press and hold Z immediately after tapping the C-stick in whichever direction you're smashing stuff in. :v:
Edit: I'm late.
Btw, little tip on doing tilts (assuming you're using a Gamecube controller). In order to do a smash attack, you have to push the control stick the whole way to the side of the bezel thingie the stick is under, and to do a tap jump, you push it to the top. To do a tilt attack without accidentally doing one of those two things instead, just don't push the stick the whole way to the edge, or even close to it. The control stick only needs to be tilted a little bit for it to register.
Trying to do tilt attacks was always terrible for me, I'd either dash attack or smash attack. I can't not move the stick to the edge because I am not gentle with a controller at all. Always was the worst thing about how I played, I can rarely do a tilt when I need to.
I know the topic has kind of passed but I will be very upset if Snake is not in SSB4. I love playing as him. All the gimmicks and gadgets make him so much fun regardless of if you win or lose.

I know that the C-stick's input is literally just a direction + the A button press. If you're off the ground or in the middle of a dash, it'll do an air-based attack in that direction or do your dashing attack. Also Z-button input is just A and shield at the same time, it's most noticeable when you hold the grab button you'll shield afterward. Knowing this, it should be possible to charge smash attacks by using the C-stick and the A button, but that is a bit odd of an input to ask for a player to do.
I'm bad at doing tilts because I am very aggressive with my movements. If I want to go right, I push that stick to the right as far as I want. It makes tilting difficult, which is why I hated tap jumping so much, I could never do up-air or up-tilt without using one of my jumps.
I guess all I can do is practice trying to ease up so I don't tap when I want to tilt.
Also, even with the existence of the Z-trick, it'd be nice to be able to do that with the C-stick independent of needing a second button press. It's not like you'd be stuck charging a smash move, as you'd be able to release it once you ease up on the C-stick. At the very least, an option for it can't hurt.
Either way, that doesn't really answer the question I had. I meant an option so the input of A and a direction at the same time will not register as a smash attack, only the C-stick would do smashes and that's it.
I understood what you were getting at.
Personally, I think it'd be kinda weird, but I wouldn't mind if it was an option.
It's more like eight tenths.
There's also the robutt and all the pokeymens after all.
The Pokemon have gender :v:
ROB is a fair point though. But that doesn't make up 9/10ths of the characters. Or even 8/10ths.
That's ROB and the Pokemon combined.
brawl had it's fair share of incredible remasters too
