-snip- [editline]6th October 2013[/editline] No matter how unlikely, Battletoads is the thing I wish for the most now.
-snip- [editline]6th October 2013[/editline] No matter how unlikely, Battletoads is the thing I wish for the most now.
That happening would require Nintendo to buy the rights from Microsoft.
Here's hoping :v:
Would it be a good idea to get Project M now or wait until all the characters are released?
has roy been released for project m yet? I was just wondering, since I didn't see him
Would it be a good idea to get Project M now or wait until all the characters are released?
It's taken them forever to get this far, so you might as well get it now if you really want to play it.
has roy been released for project m yet? I was just wondering, since I didn't see him
I don't even think they have a release date for the version with Roy in it yet.
another question, if I replaced the .pac files and stuff for project m with other brawl mod .pacs, would this render my wii u/brawl/save file ready for a trip to the morgue, or would it be fine?
It's taken them forever to get this far, so you might as well get it now if you really want to play it.
They've got about 5 more characters to make. How long do you estimate it'll take them? Would it be less than 6 months?
Here is the announcement video:
Ooh this game looks so pretty in motion. But eh on the stage. It looks just like his Brawl stage which up until now I has assumed would be returning (I assumed they'd all return). There was so much more they could've done for sonic. Oh well, looks pretty!

Maybe he'll be one of those combo characters where his speed will help chain moves and close gaps.
I want every stage that has ever been featured in the game to return, including the different N64, GC, and Wii versions, no matter how much space it would take how how impractical it would be

I was hoping it be like Planet Wisp or something. I dont want Smash to take the PSA:BR route and use things that aren't even out yet.
I was hoping it be like Planet Wisp or something.
Ew no, give us Radical Highway or City Escape. Giant truck stage hazard would be rad.
Incoming Pokémon challenger this week Calling it now along with 99% of the Smash Bros. fanbase
Well wasn't the Fire Emblem game with Roy in it not out when Melee came out?
I believe Melee's release was supposed to coincide with that game's release, but it got delayed and they just released Melee anyway. Interestingly there was also going to be a Fire Emblem stage in Melee, and its filepath is mostly complete on the disk, but it's impossible to load it due to missing collision and node data, as well as several critical asset failures. It was called "Akaneia".
I am curious how what the stage number difference is going to be between the two verison. I hope they put that memory space on the Wii U to good use.
Personally I'd rather have a modest number of stages that are all really well thought out and equally fair and fun to play, than have a ton of them that are such a mixed bag in terms of quality that people will only like about five of them. I say only one stage per three characters of a franchise represented. Zelda, Mario and Pokemon get two, the rest get one. Cut the fat and make good stages better by putting more time into them.
Fuck now I really want the duck hunt dog
Sakurai seems to have a boner for crap like moving stages or stages that change every half minute. I never really liked those stages so I'm annoyed that there seem to be so many of them returning.
If I'm recalling right it's because he likes the action movie trope of "the mile-long fistfight" or something to that effect. IE, a fight scene frequently moving from one area to another to diversify the scenery and make the fight more interesting.
One character I really want to see though is captain planet. This likely will never happen, but there is a movie for captain planet coming soon though so..
Since Captain Falcon is coming back, I really hope one of his taunts is him taking off his helmet so we can see his face [t]http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/10/100990/2430709-falcon_2_.jpg[/t]
I really hope the rumors of him getting redesigned to coincide with a future F-Zero game are true (some are speculating this is why he hasn't been revealed yet) Not because I want to see him changed, but because I REALLY FUCKING WANT A NEW F-ZERO GAME, NINTENDO.

Lost World comes out in a month, Smash Bros comes out in over a year.

I think it'd be awesome to change it to something like Marth's in the sense that it'd be really strong (an insta-KO), but would require good timing and positioning to use properly. Like, say... He charges up for a moment, then surges forward with his fist ablaze covering quite a lot of ground, and the first enemy he hits is practically blasted into space. Any others immediately nearby will be rocketed as well from the resulting explosion, or take heavy damage at the very least.

Or just give each character a few Final Smashes to choose from depending on the situation. Neutral-B does the normal one, Up-B does another, less powerful but faster one that can serve as a super-recovery (like a Launch Star for Mario, or Clown Car + Minions for Bowser), and Down-B does another more powerful attack with more setup (like Power Bomb for Samus, or this new Final Punch technique for Captain Falcon) This would add depth to gameplay as well, forcing the other player(s) to try and read your cues to figure out which one you'll pick, instead of just dodge spamming in hopes you'll waste the one attack it can possibly be.
