Sakurai seems to have a boner for crap like moving stages or stages that change every half minute. I never really liked those stages so I'm annoyed that there seem to be so many of them returning.
The changing and horizontally moving stages are fine, what I dislike are the vertically moving stages. and then there's pokefloats, which is just a whole new form of annoying.
But... I liked Pokefloats...
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/GgiDfLh.jpg[/thumb] Fox looks really god damn crazy.
Ever since Krystal left him for Slippy things have never been the same....
Fox's textures are scaring the shit out of me. He looks so veiny...
Geez, his gun sure has got fancy since the rectangle from the original and the block he had in Melee...
It's funny how elaborate it's getting when it's still a peashooter that does 3 to 4 damage per shot and drops quickly :v:
All this SSB4 talk makes me wanna play Brawl, but I gave my Wii to my aunt so all I have with me is an N64 and the original. still fun tho
I dunno about you guys but that blaster is sexy. :v: Speaking of Star Fox, I wonder if Krystal will get in this time. I wouldn't mind, would be cool to see the staff moveset finally realized. Though the highest thing on my wishlist is giving Ganon an original moveset (please Sakurai? Don't be a troll this time like you were in Brawl...I still remember the whole "hey look he has a sword, now he's putting it away" images from his reveal...). Anyway trying not to get too hyped for this game since I'm sure it's a long way off still. The wait for Brawl nearly killed me back in the day.
They teased her being put in next game in the Star Fox stage secret in Brawl.
Speaking of Star Fox, I wonder if Krystal will get in this time. I wouldn't mind, would be cool to see the staff moveset finally realized.
I imagine she would play kind of like Kilik in SoulCalibur.
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/GgiDfLh.jpg[/thumb] Fox looks really god damn crazy.
Strange. In previous media I could've sworn he had a fuzz shader, what happened to it? Also, this looks to me like you'll be able to charge the blaster for a more powerful shot, much like Samus can do with her own neutral-B. As a Fox main since 64 I'm looking forward to this change. [editline]t[/editline] Oh sweet, I'm also noticing a little targeting reticle on his eyepiece. Perhaps the charge shot has slight homing? That'd be really useful.
So the long load times of Brawl and the noisy pauses while transforming are going to return then?
Oh sweet, I'm also noticing a little targeting reticle on his eyepiece. Perhaps the charge shot has slight homing? That'd be really useful.
Maybe the gun works the same as in Brawl when you mash the B button, but if you hold it a little it'll charge and shoot Falco's laser. And then they'll announce Falco is a Fox alt. costume.
I'd rather it works by allowing you to briefly stand in place and charge the blaster by holding B, and hold the charge as you move about. Press B again at any time to whip out the blaster and fire the charged shot which does more damage, curves slightly to home in on the nearest opponent, and delivers a small amount of hitstun; just enough to interrupt an attack or recovery. Falco would have something similar, except his charged projectile wouldn't home, instead firing perfectly straight and piercing on hit, allowing it to strike multiple opponents in one shot. [editline]t[/editline] Wolf's would be very different. Holding B would charge up his initial draw, making him hit much harder with bayonet, but it would function the same as a charge-smash, locking him in place until he finishes the animation and draws his blaster.
They teased her being put in next game in the Star Fox stage secret in Brawl.
Elaborate?
I believe Krystal mentions wanting to join the fight going on aboard the main ship in Lylat Cruise if you do Falco's codec taunt trick in part of that level (mash down on the D-pad)
I believe Krystal mentions wanting to join the fight going on outside the ship in Lylat Cruise if you do Fox's (or maybe it was Falco's..?) codec taunt trick in part of that level.
Its actually Falco's trick (Starts at 0:13 and ends on 0:43)
Ah, good catch on that one. It's been a while since I've gone through the codec calls and stuff. I hope they keep them in Smash 4. They were an awesome little easter egg.
of the top five nintendo franchises, where do you guys think smash bros. ranks?
of the top five nintendo franchises, where do you guys think smash bros. ranks?
I'd probably say 4th, behind Zelda, Pokemon, and Mario.
Technically Smash Bros isn't a franchise in itself; It's a compilation/crossover series. That's how it's recognized sales-wise, anyhow. Zelda games fall under Zelda series, Mario under Mario series, and Smash under "Various/Compilation" [editline]t[/editline] While I think that yes, by now it should be its own brand... Most still don't see it as that.

If snake is switched out for Big Boss for Snake Eater 3D it would be great if they put in something like a Groznyj Grad stage with some codec's. Snake fights an animal of some kind and Para-Medic pops up. A robotic (looking) or weapon wielding enemy and Sigint pops up. "Whats this thing?" "That appears to be a fox Snake, *info on Fox*" "Interesting...What does he taste like?" All wishful thinking of course.
Can someone who has an uncle that works at nintendo let me know if Shulk is in the game, would really appreciate it
i'm actually a living nintendo and i can confirm it yes
[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/GgiDfLh.jpg[/thumb] Fox looks really god damn crazy.
He's pissed that Nintendo doesnt make Star Fox games anymore
Clearly it's one of fennekin's evolutions holding the ray gun.
What's the matter with you? That's obviously Ninetails.
