But wait, there's more! I did some digging and found some other fake screens to go along with this "leak." [t]http://i928.photobucket.com/albums/ad121/RelaxAlax/4df03fdc-1d4f-4d73-b591-e702d4fd28f9_zpscb2e7e52.jpg?t=1381115069[/t]
So wait, it's fake I assume? I'm kinda confused.
So wait, it's fake I assume? I'm kinda confused.
It has to be. I refuse to believe it until it's proven to be true. ...Wait, you posted the first image! Why are you asking me?
I sorta like the new damage system but I kinda wish they changed the character photos to something like mugshots or transparent [t]http://www.mariowiki.com/images/9/9b/Luigi_Party_3_Mugshot.png[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/0EN5AdS.png[/t]
That specific Luigi mugshot is uncanney valley horrifying and takes away any intent I had of liking mugshots, but transparent would be cool.

Just imagine how painful and trolling the "leaks" will get when we're about a month away from release. It'll be X and Y all over again.
That was deliciously evil.

In previous fakes people created renders for the damage display and other factors by taking the Brawl model, increasing its color saturation, softening its definition, and posing/photographing it in SFM in front of a greenscreen. It's not unreasonable that someone used the RTB Pokemon pack's Mewtwo and did the same thing.
I assume this would be the thread for this sort of thing(?) this is my first try at texture/vertex editing
Seriously though. It's not too tough to create fake leaks these days, what with advanced 3D programs at your disposal. Heck, I made this one specifically to fool a friend last week:

It's actually Coldfront. Shows what YOU know. :v: In all seriousness, he's never played TF2, so he totally believed it. [editline]t[/editline] Also I could totally picture Eggman and Wily teaming up as the main antagonists for most of the singleplayer campaign. They'd make for a pretty comical pair of villains, both of them greedily wanting their way and their way only while begrudgingly helping the other. An "I really, really hate you, but this plan needs more brain than either of us have on our own" sorta deal. The dialog between the two would be priceless.

THAT... I really hope there's a story mode in new Smash. I know SSE wasn't that great, but those cutscenes... It really felt like an epic story that tied every Nintendo character together into one coherent universe. [editline]8th October 2013[/editline]
It's actually Coldfront. I loved SSE.
I did too, but it felt full to bursting with filler. Too much of it was devoted to explaining often pointless meantime events with no story relation. Personally I'd prefer what I mentioned before... Every character gets a 5-level campaign of their own, and once you beat them all you get a 4-5 level campaign that ties them all together. No filler, no boring stuff, no being outright forced to play your worst character just to progress.

So where I think the tedious parts were worth it in the end and I still really appreciate SSE, in the next game they should correct these mistakes and try to perfect the campaign--possibly with mini-campaigns for each character and then a final bonus campaign.
So, onto an entirely unrelated topic... What do you guys think the opposition in SSB4's Multi-Man mode will be? First the Fighting Polygons, then the Fighting Wireframes, and then the Fighting Alloys... Why not the Fighting Pixels team? 3D Dot Heroes-style pixelated versions of all the characters.
They hire real people to come to your house and swarm you.

I hope we get something more like the Fighting Polygons or the Wireframe Fighters. Brawl's ones were boring.
So...did the daily pic not update today, or is my iPod just being stupid?
On Miiverse, it was posted. I guess they forgot. Here:
Pic of the day. If it's just a missile, a sword can slice it right up. Of course, you could also just use your bare hands.
Something I'd like to see for Smash 4 is special victory animations if certain characters win/lose against one another. Like, Bowser would look seething (maybe not even clapping?) if he lost to Mario or Luigi and on the flipside, those 2 would look a bit embarrassed if they lost to Bowser. They could have some fun with it, too- some nods to Mario and Sonic being rivals, for instance?
SSB64 had polygons Melee had edges SSB4: Fighting Vertex Team
Weren't they called fighting wireframes?
