I have feel he's going to be a lot like Olimar is some cases. One main guy leading a bunch of little dudes and using them as attacks.
But here's hoping he isn't and is going to be an awesome character.
the problem is, you need at least 10 wonderful ones to form a weapon iirc
unless they optimize something, I don't think they can have more than 6 people
but then again, olimar can have 100 pikmin, kirby is 5 inches, wario is not a cannibal, so I think they can take some artistic license for wonder red
Spirit Track Link is a descendent of the Toon Link that shows up as playable.
Still, I don't think Toon Link would be able to know. Would be pretty funny seeing him all weirded out thinking he's seeing double.

Yes, because fighting Link is perfectly normal for Toon Link. :v:

Thing is, Spirit Tracks Link looks almost EXACTLY like Toon Link, so it would be even weirder.
If wonder red is in smash in any form I imagine he'll have a ton of viewtiful joe inspired moves just like how 101 is filled with references to that series, with it being made by the same people and all.

yeah but even still, toon link is already used to fighting copies of himself, just in red and blue and purple tunics
it's probably weird to think about, but as soon as we get into the game it'll seem unremarkable

Riiiiight, I almost forgot about Four Sword Adventures. :v:
Come on Simon Belmont for a Halloween reveal.
A character focused entirely on medium-range whip attacks and projectiles? That could be... Interesting, to say the least.
All A attacks use the whip, neutral B is throwing knife, side B is cross, down B is holy water, and up B is axe (which nudges him up a little when used, like yoshi's up B). All of his areal A attacks can grab ledges to compensate for no real recovery. In terms of build, he'd have a very similar weight and movement to Snake.

One of his taunts or attacks would be wiggling the whip like in Castlevania IV.

So basically Sheik's Side-B?
So basically Sheik's Side-B?
except in a 360 degree radius.

and actually useful. Shiek's chain thing is kinda... lackluster
I can see that as a side-A chargesmash. He winds up and then spins the whip about extremely quickly in front of himself. Sort of like Pit's side-B, except it only hits once and can't be maintained.

how long would the spin last, because Wario's Down Smash comes to mind, that spinning breakdance move that lasts forever? Yeah that only hits once, leaving you WIDE open even if you do hit someone with it.
It would only last about half a second, and would not provide damage or protection on any side but the whip side.
It would also knock the opponent diagonally up (since he'd swing the whip in an upwards rotation), meaning easier chaining from the smash itself.
[editline]t[/editline]
I guess the gimmick of Simon (aside from the all-whip A moves and purely projectile B moves) would be relatively quick yet powerful smash moves. All of them would have shorter animations with less recovery, the downside being none of them send opponents straight horizontal or can be used to edgespike - they just send foes different variations of up. He'd be a very vertical character indeed, requiring ground setups leading into air combos and an item B move to launch (axe) or spike (holywater).
A heavy character with an aerial AND projectile focus? Madness, but just crazy enough to work...

Say what you will about Other M, but this stage has some mighty fine textures.

Inaccurate, the stage should actually be on a giant *The Baby*
How many times are they going to make a daily screenshot of "Look, here's Link and Toon Link standing next to each other doing the same move. Did you know that they're similar characters?" This has to be at least the third one.
Can we just get some kind of newcomer reveal now? It's been since E3 since the last one.
My theory is that we'll get a newcomer reveal in December as a Christmas present. Or we'll get a screen shot of Luigi making a silly face on the 25th.
That's the 101st picture. So no Wonder Red character I guess :/
k nintendo it's been like 5 months since we've gotten a newcomer and about a month since you revealed sonic
please make me interested in this game again

Take your pick for next newcomer:
Female Villager
Pikmin and (Insert Pikmin 3 Captain)
Daisy (Peach Clone)
(No new moves for any character; all clones)
:v:
Watch as Yoshi gets revealed :v:

To be honest I hope that Female Villager is an alternate skin for Villager, half because I think that a character like that needs that kinda representation and half because I know we will never hear the end of it from people who will claim it's sexist.
Watch as Yoshi gets revealed :v:
My gut tells me Yoshi's been drastically changed. Otherwise he would have been revealed by now.
Yoshi + Baby Mario?
Baby Mario doesn't really give Yoshi any extra abilities, though. (Unless you count Super Star Mario or whatever that powerup is called.) I also find Baby Mario to be rather annoying, so I hope he doesn't get in. Personally, I think they might be giving Yoshi more egg-based moves and can't show them off quite yet.
