The look of that move looks more powerful and badass compared to the previous games. Every change to Zelda is giving me more hope for Ganondorf.
Aw, but I liked the "2-handed shove that sends out magic sparkles that electrify" attack.
Aw, but I liked the "2-handed shove that sends out magic sparkles that electrify" attack.
That was her smash attack (which I like too), not her forward strong/tilt move ;)

a tilt is when you don't clack the joystick all the way one direction right? you just slightly tilt it towards the direction you wanna attack in?
If you take away the charm of the world and story of EarthBound, you're just left with a very shitty, generic JRPG.
Not true, there is a very good mechanic in EarthBound's combat: your health and PP are on a "rolling meter". Once you get enough HP, this allows you to cheat your way out of damage and avoid death. Oh, and there's also the not fighting junk enemies, but every RPG (pokemon) should have that in my opinion.

Without breaking it, of course. The rest comes in place nicely after.
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say I never use "Strong" attacks unless on accident. In a heated battle I don't have the time to slightly tilt the stick just enough to make a Strong attack.

Before Brawl, doing the uptilt would result in me jumping. Trying to down tilt still sends me down through soft platforms. It's all because it's based on if you tap the stick as far as it goes or not. And if you're in a heated battle who the shit is going to take their time to be delicate with their controller?
forward tilts are the hardest to pull off consistently, yeah, but the uptilt and downtilt are pretty easy if you have tap jumps off -- just hold up or down and press A. for characters like Peach who have better tilts than smashes (up tilt >>>>> up smash) this is really useful.

Snake's tilts are pretty good too
up tilts can be really powerful sometimes because you can juggle your opponents assuming they dont DI out and are fast falling with a certain % for most characters i find forward tilts pretty much useless though, marth is pretty fine because it has a large range is very fast as well as having dreamy knockback best move in game is still peach down smash <3 anyway you should use tilts way more often if you dont use them, they are overall much more effective than a smash

I'm not used to jerking the joystick around so recklessly. I find it really satisfying when I use C. Falcons electric knee attack and see enemies fly across the screen.
I find it really satisfying when I use C. Falcons electric knee attack and see enemies fly across the screen.
It's even more satisfying when you do it with Ganondorf.
It's even more satisfying when you do it with Ganondorf.
Ganondorf and C. Falcon are my two favourite characters. However I like using Ganondorf's Down-A after jumping. The sound effects that play when you finally hit someone with that attack make me smile every time.
It's even more satisfying when you do it with Ganondorf.
Except he doesn't use his knee... ?
Except he doesn't use his knee... ?
It's still satisfying though.
Fire Emblem has been niche for most of it's lifetime until Awakening and W101 isn't everyone's cup of tear.
what about you stop talking about games you obviously never played ?

Obviously this would be an option similar to how you could disable tapping up to jump in Brawl.
c stick? ...
I'd prefer a button. That way I can keep my thumb up next to the other face buttons for jumping and specials.
I'd prefer a button. That way I can keep my thumb up next to the other face buttons for jumping and specials.
C stick is awkward to use at first but it's way better than using the A button Especially for air attacks as it means you can jump backwards but do forward airs at the same time Just try to use the c stick for a few matches and it shouldnt really hinder your agility across your controller
The way I play is float around the stage constantly in the air, and using the c-stick when I'm on the ground to unleash the MIGHTY HAMMERS (Game + Watch)

Because a lot of characters have really good tilts but because of the slightly awkward method of how you use them, you usually wind up pulling off a smash attack or wasting time and getting smacked for it.
I had to learn how to learn to make quick smashes with the stick+A cause I only had a Nunchuck+Wiimote and my Wii was one of THOSE who had no backward compatibility (not the minis, the bundled ones) So yeah, and since I don't have Melee, it felt weird when I played at a friend's house with a GC controller. :T Goodness gracious for customizable controllers tho!
what about you stop talking about games you obviously never played ?
Except I've played a fair amount of Fire Emblem games (own 7, played 1, 2, 9) and tried the demo for W101. FE was never considered a must-get franchise until Awakening and W101's sales alone show that it's not for everyone.
Glad to see we're shitting on each other about games that don't even belong in this thread.

I am still waiting on Mr. Game & Watch and R.O.B to get a returning announcement. They were both my favorite characters in Brawl. And I hope Mewtwo comes back and not Lucario,
