it's already easy enough to tilt dude, the only way to mess it up is to change direction and press A at the same time, while on ground.
There's a lot of times I wind up doing Up-Smashes in Brawl using a Classic Controller pro. Having a dedicated button for smash attacks would fix that. I'm not suggesting it replace the traditional control method, just give players another option, that's all. I loved how you could completely customize the button layout for Brawl, and disabling jump on the analog stick was nice, so why not add a few other options that some players could make use of?
oh yeah I forgot arguing with you is pointless
I'm sorry, what was your problem with what I posted? You didn't "argue" anything in the first place.
Would you rather know the entire roster and have zero surprises, or have only a few big names revealed and have no idea who else is in it until you unlock them?
I would like to know the final amount of character slots there are, and instead of outright telling us each reveal, they drop hints towards the next character to be announced.
Depends on whether they plan on a global release or not, because otherwise those choices might as well be the same for everyone in a PAL region. I only got to play Brawl as soon as I did because I imported a copy and one of those region bypass disks.

Brawl was so bad because everyone already knew the secret characters and how to get 'em all months in advance.

No, Brawl was bad because of tripping.
It was also 'bad' because of reduced hitstun and a whole bunch of other subjective things, but tripping, fuck tripping, the only way to make a smash game worse than that would be to add moods ala the sims
I am still waiting on Mr. Game & Watch and R.O.B to get a returning announcement. They were both my favorite characters in Brawl. And I hope Mewtwo comes back and not Lucario,
Uhhh Lucario better come back, he practically is one of the mascots of Pokemon now.
I don't see why it would take very long to localize a Smash Bros. game anyway. Just plop the trophy descriptions on a few translation teams, change the region-specific names (Koopa, Purin) to the appropriate ones, edit the line of code that defines the game's region, redo the menus, and boom. Worldwide release easily achieved. It's not like Animal Crossing where there are thousands of lines to translate.

Not exactly, considering that Mewtwo got 2 mega forms in X & Y and stared in the latest movie with Genesect. Mewtwo is A LOT more relevant then Lucario at the moment.

That's only one part of it. The Dojo pretty much revealed everything leaving nothing to discover. Which is why Sakurai has switched over to just screenshots.
Honestly I kinda have a feeling that we'll be seeing both M2 and Lucario.
Hope it's more of a Wolf/Fox clone deal than Falcon/Ganon.

Tripping is one of the worst things in the history of video games. My friends and I end up cursing Sakurai every time we get fucked by tripping when we play Brawl :v:

And your point is Lucario shouldn't come back?
We had 6 Pokemon characters who all played differently in Brawl, I don't really want to see more.
And your point is Lucario shouldn't come back?
Like I said, Mewtwo is more relevant and popular then Lucario at this time. Mewtwo seems like the logical choice because how well they have been treating him lately. Who knows, they might add both Mewtwo and Lucario. But we won't know till we find out.
I think Mewtwo will be revealed pretty close to whenever the release is. Given the nature of fighting games and Smash Bros in general, I don't Sakurai would have said "We're thinking about it." without there actually being a strong possibility for Mewtwo's return. He could have easily said nothing and be done with it, but the fact he did say something about the character in such an excitable fanbase makes Mewtwo's return pretty likely, in my opinion.

If Toon Link returns as a clone of Link, Rosalina steals the Mario roster spot, and Lucario gets cut then its gonna be pretty stupid design choices. Bonus points if Captaindorf returns too.
I hope they don't reveal some characters, to actually give a surprise to the players.
If Roy wasn't announced, and suddenly Roy appears without anyone saying anything about it, you'd flip the fuck out.
Do you guys think a Donkey Kong newcomer will be announced such as Dixie Kong or King K Rool?
Do you guys think a Donkey Kong newcomer will be announced such as Dixie Kong or King K Rool?
Probably Cranky if anything.

Wasn't K Rool close to getting in Brawl by popularity votes?

Yeah and so was Bowser Jr. and Ridley.
I think the biggest issue I'm going to have with this new game is not being able to use gamecube controllers.

Pic of the day. The ropes surrounding the ring. You can actually use the stretchiness of the ropes to do a spring jump. However, you can't pull on them to launch yourself sideways in a lariat attack though.

as long as the wii classic controller is compatible i'll be fine, i actually prefer it over the GC controller for smash
Probably Cranky if anything.
In the next smash reveal i hope Nintendo announce... Nothing
I think the biggest issue I'm going to have with this new game is not being able to use gamecube controllers.
You can buy an adapter that turns the GC controller in to a classic controller, and apparently it works very well, so as long as the classic controller is supported we're all good
What if... Daisy and Waluigi both got in, as one sports centered tag team character. They switch places the same way as Pokemon trainer, and both use attacks mainly inspired from the sports games they've appeared in.
Since I got no response to this, could you guys maybe tell me what's so bad about this idea? (Not trying to be snarky or anything, I'm genuinely curious)
I figured it would be pretty fitting considering
1. Both are characters that people want to see fleshed out more, but people also feel wouldn't be interesting enough as an individual character
2. Both of them are most widely known for being playable characters in Mario spin-off games, so making their moves inspired by these spin-offs would both fit where most people recognize these characters from, would represent a different game series than the other existing Mario characters, and would be a good way to give them unique playstyles rather than making them Peach and Luigi clones
3. The majority of the spin-off games they're in are sports related (mario tennis, mario golf, mario kart, mario baseball, mario strikers, mario olympics, mario sports mix). Waluigi's first appearance was in a sports game, and Daisy's character is more tomboyish and energetic than Peach so it fits her character to be more sports interested. Making their clothes inspired by their appearances in sports games would especially for Daisy make her stand out as a unique character rather than a palette swap of Peach.
4. A lot of the spin off games they were both in were team based, and some games allowed you to choose what 2 partners you wanted to use (double-dash, mario tennis). So it would fit thematically that they're fighting as 2 tag team partners like with wrestling.
So yeah, that's my 2 cents on the matter.
Could you guys tell me why this is a bad idea, because other than being sick of characters from the Mario franchise I don't see any obvious reason I got so many dumb ratings.
I hope they don't reveal some characters, to actually give a surprise to the players.

If Roy wasn't announced and suddenly appears, I'd flip the fuck out in rage, I really hate Roy, both in his GBA game and in Smash. (I even gritted my teeth when he appeared in the Fire Emblem Awakening DLC)
But that's just me.
Words words and original quote.
Mario already has enough reps without Saurai trying to cheat others in with using the "They're a spin-off now" card.
