Did you guys ever finish all the challenges?
Jesus christ that last stage
51 I think.
Finishing all of the challenges was a piece of cake compared to beating Boss Rush on intense difficulty.
I was at my friends house all night trying to beat tabuu, and 7 hours later we finally did it. I think we were 8-9 at the time.
When I went through the game with my little brother this summer, I think we got it in two tries.

geez this makes me feel old
I was 15 when Brawl came out, jesus fuck has it really been 6 years
I was about 10/11 back then. Man, I remember the launch day like it was yesterday.
I can't believe that they had Jennifer Hale doing the grunts and yells for Samus in Metroid Prime, but for the one game that Samus actually talks, they get someone who sounds like they had a lobotomy.
There is unused narration in MP1 of Hale recapping the events that happened before Prime 1.
I got Brawl when I was 9 years old, right on launch day (which was coincidentally my birthday! The one time a delay was actually positive for me). I stayed up that night just doing random custom matches. I was damn tired at school the next day, but it was so worth it.

Here is the Hale narration.
haha back then i believed that there would be a DS version too.
I was 12/13 if I recall. Good lord that makes me feel old.
I remember waiting outside in a long line at Gamestop on launch night. They actually had everyone just buy the game before release and then you'd show them the receipt to get your copy as soon as 12 AM rolled by.

you realise there's an achievement for doing 51 without losing a stock
I just find it really rewarding to see the CSS go from this:

Then again, I mostly only ever play alone so I've never been inconvenienced by secret characters.
Shit man, yeah. The best part about unlocking all the characters was it gave me a wide-screen TV.
Can I say something in all honesty. While I like that this will be on 3ds as well I think it would have been a better move to have it be a wii u exclusive. I like that it will be on 3ds but it would have been somewhat better to give the wii u a big exclusive to help it have a good selling point.
Business wise? Much smarter to be Wii U exclusive.
Consumer happiness wise? They put it on the 3DS, too.

So, they preordered it? That's nothing special, unless I'm missing something. :v:
I don't know how I feel about keeping up with the news.
If they announce a character, the whole term "Secret' is obliterated and I just spoiled the dramatic buildup from the challenger approaching screen.
On the other hand, I like to keep up because I'll witness everyone's reactions when some amazing character appears and I get even more pumped for the game's release.
I remember brawl launch day. I was one of the unlucky chumps whose Wii couldn't read the disk. I had to send it to Nintendo to be fixed. So yeah, I didn't get to play brawl until two weeks after launch date.
Because I live near absolutely nobody I know, I hope I can play with FP on launch day.
They need to make sure something like this still makes it through to the next game.

Kind of late on this, but I think I remember getting uneasy when I saw the 'A new foe has appeared' screen when I was playing as a little guy. Was it just me? Maybe it was the whole big purple color scheme with this?
In other news, I'm excited for the newest Smash game. I hope there's a new Earthbound stage, actually(That is NOT New Pork City, jesus).

I wanna actually fight in the area that you fight the Porky boss (slightly edited of course).
I remember when I use to play as bad people for the story mode or w/e and then a new character decides to challenge me and i'm like "dang it I suck with this guy"
and then I actually win with them and it made me excited.

Is everyone good at this game except me?
On another note, I did beat 51 on hard, so I'm deffo gonna brag about it.

are you talking about brawl or melee ?? there are no difficulties for achievements in melee
Melee's Event 51 would only have one difficulty setting anyway: Miserable.

It's Brawl that has difficulties for the events.
Melee I don't think has that.

I remember watching that such a long time ago.
Feelings of nostalgia overflowing
Today is the day I installed Project M.
And oh boy it is glorious. Worth the trouble of installing it.
Now I shall wait for a final release of the Waluigi mod, so I can use this ExCharacter hack thing and complete the roster.

that's exactly what I said in the post you quoted LOL

How? I see you're French, I assume that you also have the PAL version of the game then?
he downloaded an ntsc iso
Could be like my situation, I preorded waay back a import from America + Freeloader disc because I couldn't wait for the EU release date.
Except the freeloader disc part still useful to me to this day! Considering most games have codes developed for the NTSC side first and PAL being the afterthought.
no he downloaded an ntsc iso
