If Robin is added I want the chance for him/her to look like the one from my game. Give us some customization in that respect
The reason why Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword Link are right handed is because the Wii remote is set up for right handed people to play with, which sucks for left handed people like me.
Also, keep in mind the Wii version of Twilight Princess is a mirrored port of the Gamecube version, so TP link is actually left handed.
As a left hander, I feel oppressed. :downs:
Also that tech demo is hype.
It still bothers me that instead of attempting any sort of effort of flipping Link's animations so that the world stays consistent within the series, they flipped the entire game via some buffer trickery or whatever and edited the scripts and text to accommodate while adding some pointer-based features, and then had the gall to claim that the Wii version was the intended product.
Also, it wouldn't be unreasonable for Male & Female Robin considering the WFT, but who knows how common or uncommon costumes like that may be.

Pic of the day. Rosalina and Luma's attacks are very different. This screencap shows Rosalina producing a Saturnian ring for her strong up attack.

i still can't believe that it was somehow easier to flip every goddamn thing in the game world instead of just link's arms
We don't know for sure if the next Zelda game will look like this though.
Well yeah, it almost definitely won't, it's just a good example of the potential brought about by the Wii U's power. We could end up with a similar situation to the spaceworld 2000 tech demo and Wind Waker.

She is going to be confusing as hell to play with. You're working with two movesets at once.
How the hell does Roasalina work? Do you swap between characters like PK Trainer or is it like Ice Climbers if they had different moves?
Did Luma really need to be playable?

Like Ice Climbers but you have to summon the Luma and it can be defeated easier.
Sword and shield are in wrong hands, 0/10, would not hype over.
You do know every Link isn't the same Link right? I don't think after thousands and thousands of generations, each and every Link is going to be left handed, I mean look at Skyward Sword.

I really don't want yet another Toon Zelda game, we've had enough of those already.
im gonna break the mood a bit and ask this
anybody here plays ssbm competitively or semi competitively? or maybe ssb64/brawl?

I play for shits and giggles.
I've never played a Fire Emblem game before, and after scrolling down a page like this I feel that I probably should.
I play for shits and giggles.
you can do both :v:
Playing fighting games professional-competitively always felt like turning something fun into an un-fun maths exam to me.
Speculation time:
Someone posted info about a bunch of stuff for the upcoming Kyoto Direct in January. One of the major things being:
)Mii for Smash 4 announcement. JP will feature Iwata Mii footage, US Reggie, EU Shibata. Trailer will start with a Wii Sports Club Baseball fake-out.
I'm excited to see if this is true or not.

I used to play Brawl semi-competitively, went to quite a few local tourneys and stuff. I'm not much for the character balance in the game though, so I try and break the mold at whatever tourney I go to.
Last tourney I played, I was playing as Samus (not Zero-Suit mind you) and managed to make it past most of the Marths/Meta Knights/Snakes to reach 3rd place. Twas a good time for the most part.
[sp]Also, I prefer Link to Toon Link, I find that Link is typically a little bit more versatile in his range game.[/sp]

If you're gonna put any Mii in the game, let it be Reggie Mii. Nothing else.
If you're gonna put any Mii in the game, let it be Reggie Mii. Nothing else.
If you're gonna go that far, skimp on the Mii part. Just do straight Reggie. Have all the same moves as the Mii (sports related and such) just have it be a straight Reggie model.

We'll have Reggie Mii as the first alt costume for Standard Reggie.
The second alt costume would be The Regginator.

Also, can you post the rest of those notes that guy made? I know they may not be all Smash related, but I wanna see what else this guy supposedly dug up.

Certainly:
)Pokemon X Tekken. Roster of fighting types and humanoid Pokemon. Hawlucha/Lucario/Blaziken are the poster boys. Will be ready for Fall, unless delayed, but scuttlebutt is that it may be held off to give distance from Smash. Will use NFC.
)Pokemon X Animal Crossing is being announced for hype, but the intention is to release 2015. 3DS. You are a human who is transformed into Pikachu/Chespin/Fennekin/Froakie. Villagers are baby/basic Pokemon and other cute ones. Diggersby takes on Tom Nook role.
)Seaman: Mysterious Pet With The Human Face for 3DS. 2014. Sequel to Seaman.
)Glory of Heracles 3DS. 2014.
)Metroid Fracture 3DS Fall/Winter 2014. Intends to hit after Smash to one-two the hardcore audience on 3DS. 2.5D, Super Metroid art-style.
)Custom Robo and Starfy sequels coming to eShop. Franchises/developers deemed too small for retail. Custom Robo August, Starfy April.
)TGC Battle Simulator coming to Wii U. New cards will be readable via NFC for in-game play. Spiritual sequel to TGC GB games.
)Rhythm Heaven: 3Dance to be big casual title 2014.
)’X’ is Xenodoll in Japan. Treehouse rocked with laughter, apparently waiting on legal for final Western name.
)Steeldivers Subwars launching post-Direct. Strategic announcement to appease ‘IOS’ investors. F2P is great for players, lucky to make any money off it. Bosses apparently very worried about ripping people off. Too worried.
)Mii for Smash 4 announcement. JP will feature Iwata Mii footage, US Reggie, EU Shibata. Trailer will start with a Wii Sports Club Baseball fake-out.
)IntSys has Hikuoku for eShop, sequel to Crashmo for Wii U. Heard US name was Puzzmo. Still sounds dumb, but better then Puzzblox, poor EU. Players pull blocks from gamepad to fit inside a structure to reach goal.
)Dillion is coming to U eShop. Had bigger plans for franchise, but poor sales of sequel got them downgraded. Vanpool is on shaky ground after PMSS was poorly received in West.
)MK8 is launching April 3rd in JP. Shipments will be counted as Q4FY2014 – basically a business move.
)MK8 is eating resources at EAD. Over 140 people on staff, mostly old Pikmin/Nintendo Land people. E3 2013 build had ~13 months of dev time. Once done, bulk of staff moves to ACU and Zelda U. Bosses want one out for Christmas this year. Lots of sleepless nights.
)Zelda U is a bit of a mess due to Aonuma focusing on WWHD and ALBW. Miyamoto had to step in. No tea table flipping, just a casual reminder to the team what Zelda was about. Graphically it looks ok, but artists can’t keep up with production + constant dungeon layout changes. Gameplay uses 2-screen secret discovery gimmick that was for a scrapped new franchise. ALBW being received well has encouraged the team.
)SNES Remix is a possibility. NES Remix apparently already broke short term expectations. That’s Tokyo though, so may be more wishful thinking than knowledge.
)Old guard struggling with HD. What they think is fine, new grads and young staff say needs more time. This is what is delaying projects. G&W was supposed to be out 3 weeks after launch but graphically wasn’t ready. Bosses getting impatient, need software done yesterday.
Miis for Smash? Please be joking.

thank ye b0ss
If that Pokemon X Tekken thing is for real, then I think I need to step up and save money for an arcade stick.
Also, you should post those notes in the 3DS and Wii U threads so everyone can hear. Fake or not, it can bring up some lively discussions.

That list strikes me as really fake, given that the headline is something that was leaked last august.

Doubly so, given that they aren't using the trademarked name.

I don't believe it was confirmed exactly what that was, but if these new rumors are correct, then it should be PokéTekken for sure.
Certainly:
Honestly pokemon crossing with animal crossing should at most be pokemon items or rare villagers.

didn't they say they made this for fun, to show what pokemon might look like in the future?
