Circle Pad Pro for smash attacks? That could work well I think. I've never owned a circle pad pro, so I don't know if it would be too bulky or whatnot.
I wonder how the Wii U Gamepad will factor into SSB4. Will there be a set of characters for the Gamepad, or will it be capable of altering the stage or nothing?
I've heard people suggest a mode where one player uses the GamePad and essentially plays God. They could spawn items or trigger stage hazards. Also, Pictochat 2 with drawing on the GamePad.
Just spent $80 on brawl and two wii classic pro controllers so I can play with my best friend(New Cidem on here) who has never played a SSB game in his life. He is truly missing out.
The control stick already determines if the character walks or dashes, same with jumps. Also remember that there's no Z button, so grabs will have to be mapped to a new key. The most elegant would be to map shield to L and grab to R, slider for movement, x/y for jumps, a/b for attack/special, and the d-pad for taunts. [editline]6th June 2013[/editline] If there's anything I'm curious about, it's how they plan to have the second screen be used.
SSB64 used R for Grab and Z for shield, so that'd be a good way to go with it (Z being the N64's L basically, nobody uses the dpad.)
Hey everybody there is now a Facepunch Google+ Nintendo Community page! So come join us in Hangouts or share whatever you like about stuff! https://plus.google.com/communities/100002924932719543581
Also, Pictochat 2 with drawing on the GamePad.
I can't wait to play on a platform shaped like a large penis.
D pad could be used for taunts i suppose.
I'm interested to see how Nintendo handles screen size of the 3DS for smash brothers. If there's one thing I've learnt playing Playstation all stars its that even the vitas 5inch qHD screen isn't really big enough for this kind of game, and it can get confusing when doing a 4 player match so I feel like Smash Brothers 3D might suck, it might not. The Wii U version I'm hyped about though.
Played Super Smash Bros Brawl for the first time in ages today, it was fun and very relaxing to play a game and I don't have to worry about certain things I don't want to talk about. I forgot how much I love Nintendo games, but now I can't decide what to play, Metroid Prime, one of the Zelda games, or something else...

comic sans + wrong your (twice) + old-ass "lol waluigi" joke + eye-melting colours
The touch pad could be used for moves, like in street fighter.

Fucking hell now I want Reggie as a hidden character.
I want to see Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff as an Ice Climbers skin Instead of an iceberg it's a massive flight of stairs
I want to see Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff as an Ice Climbers skin Instead of an iceberg it's a massive flight of stairs
Would they shoot stairs instead of chunks of ice?
Metroid Prime for sure.
Ok, then Twilight Princess.
I can't wait to play on a platform shaped like a large penis.
We already have the stage maker is Brawl though.
We already have the stage maker is Brawl though.
A penis made of squares isn't the same as one drawn in real-time.
A penis made of squares isn't the same as one drawn in real-time.
Speaking of the stage maker, I would love it if they refurbished it so that a)there were multiple layers to work with, so that one could make an interesting foreground and background b)the ability to add your own triggers to the stages, such as causing lava to rise or have vehicles fling themselves through the stage. c)perhaps adding the ability to make a scrolling level; while most moving levels are annoying, I am sure there is a way to make one that uses the scrolling well. [editline]7th June 2013[/editline] Essentially, make it closer to how Little Big Planet handles level creation, albeit hopefully not as complicated to construct.
Essentially, make it closer to how Little Big Planet handles level creation, albeit hopefully not as complicated to construct.
Maybe make stickers and trophies that you earn actually worth something. Maybe unlocking a fireflower trophy will allow you to place a fireflower that could be either a stage hazard or just aesthetic.
c)perhaps adding the ability to make a scrolling level; while most moving levels are annoying, I am sure there is a way to make one that uses the scrolling well.
I could imagine that a stage where the only thing that scrolls is the soft platforms. The hard platform floor and stage boundaries don't move, but the movement of all of the soft platforms that people can jump around on will give the illusion of the stage moving with the hard platform following the camera.
So, with the trailer only three days away, let's guess what newcomers we'll see be introduced to! I'm expecting to see at least one of these guys show up in the trailer: * Little Mac * Palutena * Ridley * Ghirahim * Chrom If all of them show up in the trailer, I'll be able to die a happy man. I also think we'll see either Mega Man or Pac-Man, but not both at the same time.

[editline]7th June 2013[/editline] And anyone else who speculates as well.
