What are Snake´s chances of returning? I kinda want to see other peoples opinions/facts. Also sorry if this was already talked about in the past, I just started reading this thread.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/w0nG9rB.jpg[/t]
It looks like something from Epic Mickey
Rayman Legends?
anyone have a link to that thread that showed you how to add custom models as skins to project m?
anyone?
I wonder how streetpass will work for ssb4.
It looks like something from Epic Mickey
mickey mouse newcomer with alt skin of him from Kingdom Hearts. [sp] I wish [/sp]
Rayman Legends?
I was thinking this too. It fits with Sakurai's requirements for a fighter. ie; an interesting character that started as a video game character. But I don't want to jump to conclusions and get myself all hyped.

Sunny Emmerich confirmed for SmashU

Snake may return, Snake may get someone in his place (Raiden or Big Boss/Naked Snake), or Metal gear won't get a rep at all in the new Smash.
I know I'm probably super late on this, but since someone just showed me the image [t]http://www.smashbros.com/images/character/zelda/screen-2.jpg[/t] I can't fucking WAIT to use a Phantom as an attack. That's so cool
I still think that's an Assist Trophy. Since Zelda seems to be in the middle of her waving taunt.
It's very clearly her Phantom from Spirit Tracks, though. It's pink and everything. Art shift aside, the only difference of note is that it doesn't have glowing eyes, and that's because [sp]her soul isn't currently inhabiting it[/sp] Why would an entity tied directly to Zelda in such a manner be usable by anyone else?
Damn it, Ganondorf.
Ganonmorphs!
I still think that's an Assist Trophy. But it's still probably a new move, which is dumb because I don't want to risk losing Sheik and getting Impa instead.
Who the hell even transforms between Sheik/Zelda during a match? I'd rather have them be separate characters with a new down + B.
It doesn't even make sense as an assist anyway. If the Spirit Tracks stage looks like ass then why does a Phantom from the same game look great?
But it's still probably a new move, which is dumb because I don't want to risk losing Sheik and getting Impa instead.
Who's to say it'll replace down-B? It might replace one of her other B moves, or perhaps even a charge-A move.
My dream of Sonic and Mario working together to defeat a last minute boss, RUINED!
It's a shame - SE had alot of cool ideas and it's kinda' sad to see it dropped entirely. Personally, I'd like to see some sort of combination of the best parts of Subspace Emissary and Adventure mode.
As I've said before, why not 4 or 5 stages in a row with a story/aesthetic themed around the character, ending in a boss fight? Structure of Adventure, theming of SSE. Win, meet win. You'd unlock new characters this way too. Play through Fox's to unlock Falco, play through his to get Wolf. Complete Link and Zelda to get Ganondorf, beat his to get Toon Link, etc. [editline]t[/editline] They'd be built to show off each fighter's capabilities too, much like BTT. By the end you'll have a good idea of how to be effective as that character.

Also, why would TP looking Zelda have a WW style Darknut as an attack? Seriously, people.
Firstly, this is a Darknut from Wind Waker [t]http://i.imgur.com/tTOdqTD.gif[/t] A Phantom is a different entity which is quite literally a phantom presence possessing a suit of armor (which was why Zelda was able to take control of one), while a Darknut is a creature of Ganon's design wearing a suit of armor. Second, and this may blow your mind... Remember Rush from the Megaman gallery? If it hadn't been for Megaman's reveal trailer clearly demonstrating that Rush is a part of his moveset, this same argument likely would've come up for him as well.
Also, why would TP looking Zelda have a WW style Darknut as an attack?
Granted, Toon Link is still his own thing, but Link's looking like a mixture of TP and SS with some touches from the Wii U tech demo, and the Phantom's definitely got a more touched-up style. Toon Link's also got a similar touch-up, but considering Ganon's fought like a slower, beefier Captain Falcon in previous games and they had to make almost-entirely original moveset for Zelda/Sheik, it's not too improbable that Zelda could be packing moves that reference more than just her base appearance. I don't think that Phantom's a move, but don't be so strictly-minded on movesets. :v:
Also I don't believe any assist trophies have previously been revealed via a character's screenshot gallery. The team seems to prefer unveiling those outside of bigger character reveals, like they did with Ashley.
but don't be so strictly-minded on movesets. :v:
Agreed, yes. Don't forget that one of Villager's attacks is a long sequence of plating a tree, watering it, and cutting it down. Or you could leave the tree there as a nuisance. I imagine that the armor, IF IT WAS AN ATTACK, could be like this: You summon it, and you can make it attack with a slash upon pressing the command again, or just leave it there, lifeless. That, or it's an Assist as others are suggesting.
I think this is the most likely: Charged side or down attack magically summons her Phantom out of nowhere when released, who appears in a readied stance, immediately delivers a powerful swing, and then vanishes again.
Same reason Mario has both a cape and a FLUDD?
mario's appearance doesn't vary nearly as much as link's.
Same reason Mario has both a cape and a FLUDD?
That reminds me, why do we get FLUDD as Mario's down-B again.
mario's appearance doesn't vary nearly as much as link's.
I think the point is that it's Smash Brothers. Unless they have a very limited set to work with for certain characters, it's a celebration of all things Nintendo (and third-parties that make it into the game). It shouldn't be unreasonable that Link, always changing though he is, might have moves that reference multiple games rather than strictly the appearance he's based off of. (Then again, he's really not had any moveset changes since Melee.)
