Pac Man. I just have the feeling.
Furries are going to go nuts if Krystal ends up being in this game with her tribal warrior get-up.
The more I think about that game the more I think it really was something that could of been great but Rare had to tie into starfox
So, with the trailer only three days away, let's guess what newcomers we'll see be introduced to! I'm expecting to see at least one of these guys show up in the trailer:
* Little Mac
* Palutena
* Ridley
* Ghirahim
* Chrom
If all of them show up in the trailer, I'll be able to die a happy man. I also think we'll see either Mega Man or Pac-Man, but not both at the same time.
With a bunch of Rhythm Heaven references appearing in Game & Wario. I wouldn't be surprised if Karate Joe appeared as an assist trophy. I'd be more surprised if that franchise got no allusion in the upcoming game at all; it's got quite a healthy following for only having 3 games, only 2 of which were localized outside of Japan.

-Jeff, because Mother 2/Earthbound on VC + he's already an assist trophy
-Dixie Kong
-Somebody nobody could've called in a billion years (this game's snake)
-A Balloon Trip stage
-Yeah, I think pac-man is extremely likely
I'd like to see
-Taizo Hori (dig dug)
-Balloon Fighter (Balloon Fight)
-Mike Jones (Startropics)
Also give us Mach Rider as a Captain Falcon costume.
Wait, what's this about a trailer only 3 days away?

I rather have her in her Assault outfit and have the tribal outfit as a skin. Also, I hope we get another Kid Icarus character in the game and someone from a new IP like Tempo.

The E3 Nintendo Direct is going to have the trailer for Super Smash Bros. in it.
Confirmed on twitter. The link is in this thread a couple pages back.

Pretty much.
No, I have no shame. None at all.

Wow I am so out of the loop.
Krystal should not be in the game and everything in the Star Fox Universe post 64 should be ignored.

Not impossible though. I looked up the game a little and it was fairly well received, so it wasn't a failed title... and Krystal is compared to the other Starfox characters in Brawl very different in her approach so Nintendo could want her simply because she'd bring some variation to the current clone dilemma. Though yeah out of a fan perspective it's probably not likely, as she's not a character a lot of people specifically wants. She is neither a character considered to be from a classically nintendo game (like ice climbers), nor has she been featured in any recent games.
[editline]8th June 2013[/editline]
So yeah... possible but not likely. Don't count her in, but don't count her out.

There's no clone dilemma, it presents no problem whatsoever. Fox and Falco are only similar, and Wolf is completely different. Even then, who gives a shit? It doesn't change how successful the game would be.
If they're going to add another Star Fox character, it should be slippy, because he would handle completely differently.

Slippy would be bottom-tier in doubles.
I'm still not sure why people are so determined to get Ridley in, we already have a large dragon-like fighter in Charizard, what could Ridley offer that would make him stand out? Other than the fact you'd always have to kill him an extra three times per life

uuuh moves that come from the metroid series? Just like Charizard has moves from Pokemon?
Why would you add Snake when we already have Captain Falcon?

That's a horrible argument, all Ridley has done in the Metroid series is shoot fireballs, swipe his claws, his tail, and get blown up and reassembled as a cyborg/robot several times.
Snake and Captain Falcon are two totally different characters, what the hell man
Krystal should not be in the game and everything in the Star Fox Universe post 64 should be ignored.
Star Fox Assault was good, but too many missions are on foot.

Hey, just because she came from a very sub-par game doesn't make her a bad character.
She's a useful asset to the team in Assault due to her telepathy, and Assault is a great game.
I think she'd be really interesting in SSB4 but I wouldn't count on her to ever be playable.

-Assault isn't a great game, it's alright but it didn't live up to SF64/Lylat Wars at all
-The most recent game in the series was SF643D, so they'll probably pull from that for the Star Fox assets

Dedede never threw waddle dees in Kirby, Captain Falcon never punched or kicked, Fox never had a reflector in Star Fox (In fact Fox never had a gun in Star Fox,) Ness and Lucas never used PK Fire, Thunder, Freeze, Starstorm or PSI Magnet, etc
Ridley and Charizard are also two completely different characters
I could imagine Mecha Ridley being a final smash, it'd open up a shitload more opportunities for movesets.

I KNEW you were going to pull that argument. But here's the thing though, Ridley isn't really MUCH of a character. Yes in the Metroid canon he's this cunning leader of the space pirates but in the games he's nothing more than a dragon you pump missiles into.
Unless they make him Meta-Ridley or Mecha-Ridley I can't see him having a moveset that'd be very impressive, I mean what could they give normal Ridley that isn't retarded? He's just a dragon-like creature and I already covered everything he was capable of.
No, people should be pulling for a mechanically enhanced Ridley if anything.

So because you knew I would make the argument, it's not valid?
And what you've gone on to say simply didn't address my argument at all.
What could they give Ridley that wouldn't be retarded? Basically whatever the fuck they want, most of the movesets in the game were totally made up.
So because you knew I would make the argument, it's not valid?

It's valid but a little silly to point out for most of the other characters because it still makes sense within their respective universes. I still can't picture Ridley's moveset being anything other than consisting of claw/tail swipes and breath weapons.
Now if they made him Meta/Mecha Ridley, I could see some kinda hybrid between Charizard and Samus and that could make for an interesting character.
Ridley is a fucking Dragon Xenomorph. Whose fights are always the high point of Metroid games, the beggining of the climax.
BTW, Captain Falcon wasn't anything but flavor imagery to the Jack of all trades machine in the two games it appeared before Smash Bros. Jigglypuff and Pikachu are just random early-game Pokemon. Luigi was still just Player 2 when it first got into Smash Bros. Don't pull such arguments, shall you?
What about phoenix wright?
He worked in mvc.

That still doesn't change the fact he's extremely vanilla. Hell it wasn't til Metroid Prime before he started posing an actual threat, by the time you encounter him in Super Metroid you should have so many energy tanks, missiles and super missiles he's a complete pushover.
My point is I can't picture standard flesh and bone Ridley being capable of anything that another character can't already do within the previous Smash Bros titles.

What's wrong with claw and tail swipes? You've also totally ignored the way he grabs samus and flies around with her, dashes horizontally, smashes the ground hard and generally just uses his size to wreck shit. What's not cool about that?
And what make you think Meta Ridley would play like Samus? He's just regular Ridley but put back together with cybernetic parts.

So let's not put little mac in because every other character can punch, let's not put pac man on because other characters can eat things, let's not put mega man in because other characters can jump and shoot things?
