lucario is such an annoying character because you can literally buttonmash his a-attacks and win
pretty fun to play though lol

Lucario's dreadlock things clipped into his chest in fear.
I WANT SIMON BELMONT
THATS ALL I WANT.
I just want some more legitimate leaks, or some newcomer news I'm actually excited about
Sorry, Rosa and Palutena, you're not doing it for me

it's fairly obvious they're not jiggleboned yet, they're in the base position on all his ssb4 screenshots, even tho he has an aurasphere pic, where his dreadlocks were flying in brawl

Megaman looks different in this one.
We know his 5 air normals and none of them have him sticking his fist out like that. He makes a similar pose when using the mega buster on the ground but that doesn't form to a fist.
Only other option would be an air-dodge, but it doesn't look like a dodge like Lucario is clearly doing.
I just noticed, but it looks like they're adding in more of his MM7 look as development progresses. He looks a bit more expressive and dynamic now, compared to how they've been focusing on his stiff NES poses in the past.
Consaqunses? Christ, I can already feel a meme forming.
Sakurai posted this as well:
Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster--without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle.
Lucario was a good announcement.
Even though I don't like him much, he was unexpected. Infinitely more interesting than Captain Falcon or some shit that you know is going to get in.
Meh, lukewarm to his return.
On the upside, he looks fantastic in HD.
I hope Mewtwo still makes a triumphant return. In Project M, they both do play very differently, the only similarity being that standard B move.
I just got here.
Fuck why did I just get here.
I'm so happy my main was confirmed.

Mario's more interesting TBH. Lucario always felt like a forced mascot.
I'm completely neutral about Lucario's official announcement. He was one of the very few fighters that I always ignored through my Smash Bros experience.

considering anybody can be more hype than captain falcon
Man I can't wait to see G&W in HD. I bet he'll look super different.
I bet since Kirby got pinker each game, G&W is gonna be so much more black now.

Yay. Another non-character. Toot toot
I would love for Snake to come back, but I'm hoping for too much.
I really hope they don't kick Snake of the roster, he was so damn fun to play with in Brawl.
I just have the feeling he is going to be one of the last announced characters.
[editline]31st January 2014[/editline]
And whats more, if Toon Link can get in SSB4, so can Snake. Otherwise I am not going to be amused by that.
I'm really hopeful about what they said about Lucario's "Aura" dealio. Makes him sound like a really good risk/reward character now.
Before, he just felt mediocre. Don't get me wrong, I loved Lucario, he just had no killing power when I used him. In fact, I wasn't even sure HOW to kill with him.
Yay, Lucario's back! One of my mains, too.
I never really liked Lucario because the character because I felt like he rewarded getting hit a lot. If you got stronger at higher percentages, you would have no reason to not avoid getting hit so you could get stronger.

But if you don't avoid getting hit then you'll just get knocked out of the map before you can abuse your high percentage power..
Well, Lucario is light and floaty, therefore easy to KO. It rewards being able to absorb light attacks and avoid heavy hits.

but it also punishes not getting hit at all.
It's a flawed concept imo.
They just wanted a berserker role in the roster. I liked Lucario, I still never used him though.
Now that I'm fully awake, I'll just say that I'm actually really glad he's back. I haven't really thought about it until now, but I play as him a lot in Brawl. I hope the aura really packs a punch this time, maybe with some additional effects to show how powerful his attacks are at any given time.
Edit: They should really improve Extremespeed as well. Maybe make it similar to Wolf's up special (as in, it actually does damage), but keep the free movement from the current Extremespeed.
I understand the aura thing is an important part of lucario, the but balance concerns of a characters who increases in damage as he get damaged just doesn't seem worth the trouble to me. Now I have to worry about him being weaker at 0% because of the buff to aura.
At least I can still counter nerds.
Has anybody noticed Nintendo are reusing things from Brawl? This is more noticeable in the 3DS version (characters literally copy and pasted from Brawl), but I've also noticed animations and models are being reused from the trailers they've shown us (Stages and characters alike).
Lucario's model in the screenshots for the WiiU version are literally Lucario from Brawl with new shaders and a higher res texture, in fact. Some of the edges on his model have been smoothed, though.
The way the eyes, paws, and tail is shaped makes it a dead giveaway, it's exactly how it is in Brawl.

How would you model a Pokemon, most of which are physically carbon copies of each other within their species, differently than you would before, though?
That being said, I would love if Lucario could get accessories like Pikachu with his different color schemes. A Lucario with a long, ragged red cape akin to Tetsuo from Akira would be ridiculously cool.
Or at least a silly aviator cap.
