Better question, how is the top of her container floating?
We're talking about a giant spiky brain with a laser shooting eyeball.
I don't know why but i'm imagining the community hacking Smash 4 and doing things like pitting the Mother Brain assist trophy versus the (stage hazard or assist trophy, we dunno still) Yellow Devil.
Well, if we don't get a playable Ridley now, we will never get a playable Ridley... And a Samus/ZSS, Ridley and Dark Samus roster for Metroid would be a perfect one.
Having a "Dark [x]" get on the roster would be a horrible idea since that opens the door for the other ∞ of them.
Not exactly, you could say that having the game include Nintendo characters opens that door already. All it would really do is have more people whine and complain that their favorite Dark/Shadow [x] didn't get in. It's not like Sakurai will be forced to let in the others. I wouldn't mind seeing Dark Samus join, she already had her own unique moves in prime 2 and 3 and could easily not be made a clone. If neither she nor Ridley get in the only other Metroid reps I could see would be the hunters from MP3 and MP:Hunters. Out of MP:H I'd say only Weavel and Sylux have the actual background to be significant characters.
I don't think we'll see Dark Samus because she hails from the Prime series, which was made in America, and Nintendo seems to have a bit of dislike for Metroid as is, so Metroid games by Americans is just doubly bad. This is also why we will never see Mike Jones referenced in any way, shape, or form in Smash Bros.
I just can't see Dark _____s being anything other than alt skins.
I just can't see Dark _____s being anything other than alt skins.
except ofcourse for the best link incarnation
Too bad there's no chance since he's not the main character of the game. But god damn, if anyone is quotable from it, it's fucking Frederick. On top of that, he's also 100% husbando material.
Pick a god and pray
Well, Dark Samus [sp]has a subseries named after it. It is just that outright calling that being Metroid Prime is a bit of a spoiler, and the Dark Samus moniker is a bit of a red herring about its true nature.[/sp]

Should've let SEGA design Mother Brain. Those guys are really on the ball. Smash will fail now.

Shame that Metroid game we don't talk about sold better than average in Japan. Bloody Japan and its cultural expectation on how women should be...
Blaming Other M's terrible depiction of samus on japanese culture is pretty dumb when it's much easier explained by the writer just being shit at his job.
Nintendo should release HD remakes of the CD-i games just to see what happens. :v:
Blaming Other M's terrible depiction of samus on japanese culture is pretty dumb when it's much easier explained by the writer just being shit at his job.
I've heard that Other M was made to appeal more to Japanese audiences and one of the key differences between Other M and the good Metroid games was the characterisation of Samus. Putting two and two together here with help from my Asia-obsessed friend (not a weeaboo, she's genuinely interested in asian cultures and is currently studying in China). But the majority of it's failings were due to the writer being shit and trying to make Samus his waifu. Just release them in all their original glory. AND an updated Hyrule Historia showing where they take place in the timeline.
It was probably already discussed but I found another piece related to the Falco rumor [t]http://i.imgur.com/uiRBjkN.jpg[/t] While I doubt it could be legit, I have a feeling that will be his SSB4 appearance (Considering Fox hasn't changed much other than color)
dark samus?
I take it you've never played the Metroid Prime games. But the majority of it's failings were due to the writer being shit and trying to make Samus his waifu.
That was pretty much the case. A lot of the disliked stuff about Samus's characterization in that game was due to the concept of filial piety which is fairly normal socially in Japan but really damn foreign to Western audiences. Although to the game's credit, some of her character traits in that game that Western players disliked - such as her low self-esteem - already had precedent in the Metroid prequel manga, which is seen as canon to the series with direct references to it in Zero Mission (which was officially confirmed to have overwritten the original NES version in the Metroid canon.) Of course, the [sp]infamous Ridley incident[/sp] is still just completely baffling. A lot of the game's other problems can be traced to Sakamoto trying to pull off Miyamoto's famous "upending the tea table" with some of the design choices - such as insisting they go with just the Wiimote - despite lacking Miyamoto's intuition, or just taking it way too far as an auteur thing, like when he himself decided to direct the English voice actors despite not knowing English, which is why a lot of the lines sound unconvincing. Team Ninja actually acted as the sane man in this scenario, trying and failing to keep him in check (for instance, they tried to push for more Prime-like controls with the Nunchuk and everything.) In any case, it makes me wonder how he got so much wrong this time, when he's one of the series co-creators and was behind other Metroid games - such as Super Metroid itself - which were executed far better. Of course, I'm just going by ear with all of this; I'm still going through Corruption so I still haven't had a chance to play Other M and judge it for myself (it's still sitting on my game shelf untouched.) That said, I've heard the game itself had potential underneath all of Sakamoto's meddling about. Makes me wonder if they'll ever pull another Zero Mission and just... try again with an Other M: Director's Cut or something, fixing the mistakes of the original and overwriting it in canon. Perhaps work a bit more of a Western bent and some Prime tie-ins to it, such as an appearance by Admiral Dane during Samus's military days. It's a shame that the original would still be the last Metroid game on Wii at this point, considering we're now well into Wii U. Bit of a sour ending after Corruption and the Trilogy compilation.

I'm a sucker for fine coats and stunning headwear. Super Metroid had Gunpei Yokoi though. I suspect Sakamoto was 'that guy' on the team, like the friend no-one likes but still hangs out with the group. Personally, I think they should just swap Other M and the Prime series on canon-status and forget the whole thing ever happened. And get rid of Sakamoto. Been trying to get the Prime Trilogy compliation but it's expensive as all hell.
Whether you accept it or not, the manga is still officially canon, as are the Prime games; Sakamoto never claimed them as non-canon, he merely said the trilogy was a side-story... which it kind of is in a weird way, despite having done more world-building and fleshing out of the Metroid universe than the entire main tetralogy and Other M put together.

Hey, can someone help me with Project M? The Official Help Chat is really... unhelpful When I start it up I get to the menu, but pressing "Play" just brings me to a black screen. What do I do?

It should be FAT, not FAT32 or exFAT. That's all I can think of. Occasionally you will have some start-up problems with a fully working version anyways.
