Geno Whirl is fucking awesome. And he shoots bullets out his arms and fingers. And it's nothing like Ashley. She's an unplayable character with no moves, unlike Geno, who is playable and has moves.

You know, i don't mind characters being assists over playable. At least they're having representation of some kind. There are two kind of tiers of smash characters, assist trophies being the lower tier of, "Not enough [REDACTED] to make full character so single move guy." Its not as if being an assist means they aren't in the game, i mean, for example Gray Fox was still hype as shit, and i'm sure there were a fuckload of people say "I want Gray Fox to be playable", i know i was. But of course Gray fox had no chance, so they gave him a more minor role. It's kind of a way to put in more fighters without putting in more fighters. Its just a shame everyone seems to see it as "My favorite characters got in but got demoted what bs" rather than "My favorite character [B]got in[/B]".

And there are some characters I'd argue are absolutely suited to being assist trophies rather than actual characters. The warioware guys, for example.

A big problem is the idea of the wasted slot. "toon link got in but not my favourite character. wii fit trainer got made but not my favourite character. if these characters were not in the game, then surely my favourite character would have gotten in."

I mean he's got a possessed mask on his face, it wouldn't be that hard to think up some moves built around that fact alone. I mean look at Rosalina; how much did she do in the games, and yet she has what looks to be an interesting moveset?

Plus, I think Balrog uses moves that would be penalties in a boxing match (like using his head. His grab is literally 3 headbutts in a row.) and even under-the-belt punches.
