Pic of the day. Here's a new stage for the 3DS version: Tortimer Island! I've been here countless times to catch bugs.

What a beautiful day. On this stage, fighters are randomly placed on a different island layout every time they visit. Yar, come back anytime, will ye?

I can already smell the scent that this will be my most picked level, and my friends/family will hate me for it :v:
I wonder what this stage's gimmick will be, if it'll have one.
I'm really hoping Falco gets an Arwing as a new final smash. Kinda off putting when he says "Personally, I prefer the air" & then he gets into the Landmaster.
I hope if they add another Star Fox character, they don't make another semi-clone of Fox complete with Landmaster.

The description says that the stage is randomly generated

Didn't read the second caption, I just saw the Miiverse post. Thanks.
Red is basically as worthwhile as you can get since the pokemon themselves have as much character as the BFG9000.
Red isn't particularly bursting with personality either.
Tortimer's Island looks beautiful. I'm really excited to play on it. It's probably going to end up being that stage I pick all the time and get bored of but keep picking it anyway.
And I've said it before, but the stage better have an awesome remix of Kapp'n's song.
Kinda bummed out that stage 3DS exclusive.
i've never cared for pokemon trainer so i wouldn't be sad to see him go
his absence might make room for a more worthwhile pokemon rep anyway
how do you get a more worthwhile rep than the game's titular character besides the mascot?

He didn't necessarily state if by that it means the layout is randomly generated with corresponding visuals or the visual layout is randomly generated to match the fixed layout. Plus with an island stage like this, you can't really get too much variation in the layout unless the camera zooms around the small island like Delfino Plaza.
But one thing's for certain, the stage is going to have watery edges like Pirate Ship. Maybe drowning will actually be a thing instead of a piddly-shit annoyance that you mash jump to never be bothered by. I've owned Brawl since release date and not once have I ever drowned; it'd always be a meteor spike move that'd KO me if I fell in the water.

Maybe I'm understanding this wrong, but I don't want a stage that's like Great Bay where the water might as well be a pit.

Swimming mechanics could be changed up so that you have a limited amount of water jumps before you get back on solid ground so there's an actual threat to being waterlogged than awkwardly treading water.

Red and all the three original starter Pokemon are all some of the most iconic Pokemon characters.
Combined, i'd say they're about as big as Pikachu.

Probably only Squirtle.
Every white girl I've met that claimed to love Pokemon would say their favorite was either Pikachu or Squirtle.

I've never really understood what Glalie was supposed to be, beyond 'ball of ice with a face'
Unless that's literally it
I would just like to see different choices of pokemon for the trainer.
dark/ghost/psychic or 3 different starters
Gengar is best Pokemon
Gengar is best Pokemon
Nope. Everyone knows Lanturn and retarded plus-eye fish are the best pokemon.
Slurpuff army represent

I've loved Poliwhirl since I was 3 or 4 years old. Not Poliwag or wrath, just whirl.
To stay on topic though, I think the very first person I'm going to try is Villager, and then Little Mac. Both of them seem like the kind of characters I like.
Ludicolo is the shit.
