Project M changes a bunch of stages for no fucking reason. It wouldn't be so bad if they were just balance changes, but they took out Luigi's mansion in it's entirety for another fucking 3 platform over a flat stage map. Also removed minigames from the wario stage.
As I've said before, I will always see competitive SSB as the ultimate in "NO FUN ALLOWED YOU HAVE TO PLAY WITH NO RANDOM FACTORS YOU AREN'T PLAYING IT RIGHT WAVE-DASHING WAS AN INTENDED MECHANIC".
[t]http://i.imgur.com/torOyPE.jpg[/t]
Was this ever a thing
Was this ever a thing
It's how Little Mac appeared in Captain Rainbow, a Japan only Wii game about a superhero who helps old Nintendo characters since he needs fans to be a super hero or something.
Was this ever a thing
The kinda offensive Japanese Captain Rainbow game. Missions range from Little Mac getting out of shape and you helping him to uh... Birdo getting arrested because no one believes she's a girl, and you have to retrieve her vibrator to show the police.
The really bizarre thing is that it feels like half of project M caters really hard to having really fun, nutsy character changes that make all characters unique for all players. The other half is "NO FUN ALLOWED"
that's because they wanted to make every character competitively viable and they don't consider the random elements to be fun
I like no random factors when I play with my really good friends, we just go no item final destination as always however if other people are over we'll thrown in the items. Really it's just a difference of items on and off. When I got project M, I didn't notice much except lack of tripping, faster falling and less knockback, as well as getting a little "stunned" after being hit by an attack. stock brawl is more like DBZ fighting, you rush at each other and one person makes the hit and knocks the other away. There is skill in this, it's all about the dodging. Project M relies more on combos, which can just make the other player helpless to someone with more combo knowledge. You can be just as competitive in stock brawl, it's just more based on reactions and timing rather than combo knowledge like in project M. Really don't prefer one over the other.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/torOyPE.jpg[/t]
hey mac baby what's your favorite flower (chocolate)

I know it won't happen, but imagine if they reworked Ganondorf to no longer be a clone of Cpt. Falcon but we get Cpt. Rainbow as the new clone. Or even worse... Cpt. Rainbow replaces Cpt. Falcon. Nah... too much of a silly idea. The best we might have is either an Assist Trophy or just a simple Trophy of Rainbow.
Could Rainbow use Falcon's move set? I always though of Rainbow as more of a Kamen Rider kinda guy.
what if there was an eternal darkness stage? I think it'd act kinda like warioware, but instead of minigames, it would have the sanity effects from the game
what if there was an eternal darkness stage? I think it'd act kinda like warioware, but instead of minigames, it would have the sanity effects from the game
Too dark. [editline]10th March 2014[/editline] No pun intended.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/torOyPE.jpg[/t]
So, we now have a plaid background for the trophy gallery. Neat.
So, we now have a plaid background for the trophy gallery. Neat.
Well, as one of the backgrounds, I'm sure. Don't remember if it had it in Brawl, but Melee had it where you could change the background theme and lighting while browsing trophies.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/torOyPE.jpg[/t]
This seems a good time to mention that apparently, Li'l Mac ain' too popular in Japan. I can kinda see it, seeing as Captain Rainbow was about helping minor nintendo characters.
Man, what IS popular in Japan?
Monster Hunter. Usually.
Man, what IS popular in Japan?
anything that isn't popularru in amerikku
Man, what IS popular in Japan?
High bellybuttons, apparently

Speaking of which, I kinda want them to bring back the green and blue bubbly one from Melee. This one:

Is it bad of me to like the Yoshi model we had in melee but absolutely hate the one we got in brawl?
Is it bad of me to like the Yoshi model we had in melee but absolutely hate the one we got in brawl?
I'm much more preferable to his modern design. His Melee design, like a few other melee characters, was transitionary and weird.
Is it bad of me to like the Yoshi model we had in melee but absolutely hate the one we got in brawl?
Personal preference, I guess. I think Brawl Yoshi looks way better.
I can understand preferring the Melee proportions of Yoshi's model but the Brawl model has nicer colors and looks better imo.
that and yoshi's taunts in Brawl are adorable
Yoshi looks hideous in Melee imo. I don't think there's any game where he actually looks like that.
I kinda liked it more when Yoshi was more of a horse or a camel instead of his more hunched up appearance now, but something about his eyes in Melee wasn't right.
So are people going to actually have fun with this and not play this competitively, or are we going to have another EVO 2008?
