I see it as Sakurai will put in whoever the fuck he wants. End of story.

It's not that he [I]doesn't[/I] fight, it's that I don't think he [I]does[/I] fight. Like, I can't imagine that guy throwing a punch. I could totally see it for other characters from non-violent games; Phoenix Wright, I could see him punchin' a guy; the cast of Warioware, I could see each of them punchin' guys; and we all know that the kid from Animal Crossing is absolutely a serial killer. But with Layton, I feel that reminiscing about puzzles is the closest that guy will ever get to legitimate aggression. [editline];[/editline] Oh. While I was writing this it somehow became an actual debate of roster. I think it should be made clear that I wasn't meaning that this is a reason for Layton not to be a playable character in smash. It's so unlikely [I]regardless [/I]of that fact that if it ever happens I will marker "THIS REMINDS ME OF A PUZZLE" on my forehead.

From how it's worded, they just added a sweet spot to the Brawl's version, just like her Dynamite Kick or Cpt. Falcon's Knee of Justice.

Since he makes a glider or flying machine out of random junk at least 3 different times, his UP+B could be a little gyrocopter. His A attacks could involve fencing. Neutral B could be that slot machine machine gun.
