Tomodachi Collection stage? Maybe this means Mii is in?
Well there is that Find Mii stage on 3DS...
I think its possible we're getting them in SSB4 (Although I might be a little quick to judge)
Edit: I forgot to mention, we also have Pilotwings Resort stage, another game where Miis are the focus.
Also, Tomodachi Collection was originally for the DS in Japan in 2009, and it sold a million copies over there, so it's definitely well known over there...
I think this is proof of what many already suspected. Oh well.
This is the first time I've ever been slightly disappointed by a daily pic, mostly because today was the first time I had any specific expectations for it.
Oh well, the stage looks neat. Maybe it'll be like Luigi's Mansion with multiple levels, but I know nothing about Tomodachi Collection so my words are probably meaningless. Time to go do research!
They really don't have as much as nintendo man. They got lucky they got to use third party characters to pad out their roster a bit.
Nah, Sony at this point has way more IP's than Nintendo, let alone series exclusive to the Sony brand ranging from first party things like Puppeteer to Tearaway to Soul Sacrifice and Toukiden and most of the Tales of series. (Did Xilia come out on the 360?).
Not everything is first party but exclusives are staggering. They aren't hurting at all unlike Mario who at this point is just using random enemies in things like Mario Kart 8 or, god forbid Metal Mario the most original character in the world. This isn't quite the 90's/Early 2000's anymore.
He could be unveiled later today.
Or not. It's really up to Sakurai. There is no pattern to the reveals and he can just blatantly ignore the fact that Yoshi got a game today.
The only times I'll expect actual news is the Directs and the upcoming E3. Otherwise, I'm not counting on releases to be something for reveals.
Well, until karma slaps me like the bitch it is and proves me wrong with Yoshi popping out.
Sakurai spoiled us by revealing Zelda, Dedede, and Diddy on dates that made sense.

sorry but you're just objectively wrong about that

The still have enough to have as many characters as Brawl.

I only recognized around 8 of those.

Good god no, not even close.
If you counted every single game ever released on any Playstation console as being owned by Sony they might, but in reality less than 1% of the games on their platforms are actually owned by them.
Imagine if a castlevania character ends up in the game after all, but it ends up being gabriel from lord of shadows 2 instead of simon

I think I'd shit a blood vessel. Not burst one. shit it out
I don't want that guy in Castlevania's canon, let alone Brawl. The only good thing that came from Lords of Shadow was the combat cross because that's a cool weapon in design.
Well the thing is, if they do put Simon Belmont in, I have a feeling he'll be styled on his design in Mirror of Fate rather than the original series.
[img_thumb]http://commiesubs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/2232881-simonbelmontmof.jpg[/img_thumb]
Not a particularly bad design, but definitely not the Simon Belmont that's known and loved by everyone.
At least it's better than the Simon from Castlevania Judgement

Look at this bullshit
oh baby

I didn't though. My second line even starts with "Not all of these are first party." and I thought I stressed the fact that while not exactly first party there's still a lot of series exclusive to them that make the playstation brand recognizable.
Take Disgaea for example- there was a shoddy port of the first game on the DS but other then that every single NIS game has appeared exclusively on the Playstation. They aren't owned by Sony but they may as well be, it would make sense if they wanted say... Laharl or something to show up, as most people who know about the series know they'll find it on playstation only most of the time.
Tales of. as I mentioned rarely comes out on anything other then Sony platforms, and whenever something comes out on something else you can bet the definitive version will be out on the playstation at some point. (See Symphonia and Vesperia)
I repeat, while things aren't technically owned by Sony and don't open with a big splash of SONY on the front, there's a lot of things entirely exclusive to them some way or another. Go ahead and rate me dumb or whatever if you want but I'm right on this, it's one of the things you can argue about but you'd just be wrong with.
Oh and just because you don't recognize half the characters listed above doesn't mean everyone has no idea who they are. Moving the goalpost isn't quite fair. This wasn't supposed to be a knock against Nintendo but when a most wanted character is Waluigi, who gets his entire "character" from just a single animation in a spin off game that I don't think many people played- I think it's about time Nintendo tried to make some new characters (and I'm not just talking about adding to a franchise like Kid Icarus (though I want a Kid Icarus 2 (pls)))
Edit: Maybe it's best to hold off on this conversation here- getting kind of offtopic. Point is Sony Smash Bros had a lot more options then people credit it with, but none of them were used and the game ended up getting fucked to death rip in pieces *throws rose petals*

I still have my dreams of one day, Nintendo buying back Banjo Kazooie.
A man can dream.
I just saw todays pic of the day. I somehow missed the post whoops.
I think Tomadachi collection makes for a absolutely awful choice considering there's already a Animal Crossing stage. Nobody in the west even really knows about that dumb game, and it's not even a Little Mac in Japan situation of "Oh I forgot about that guy." as I don't think any of the games even came out here.
This feels like New Pork City, but even worse as this can't even be assigned to a "well I at least know the series" crowd.
For those who don't know what Tomadochi collection is as a aside, just picture the sims. You have a house full of mii's and you buy them food, make them fall in love and have babies and decorate rooms. To me, personally, it's animal crossing but lacking charm.
Blah, can't please everyone but I really hope he announces something good to make up for this.

It should kind of set the tone for that list that the first entry is Alundra. The only thing I remember about Alundra was that it was basically aLttP.
All I got with that pic is that Villager might have the best idle animation.
if he dances in place with jazz hands goin on so help me god
[editline]14th March 2014[/editline]
wait no we've already seen it he's probably mid-attack animation

it also had a great soundtrack and some crazy hard puzzles

Oh shit I remember this game now

This game was BADASS
Alundra was just kind of meh to be honest.
It had a couple cool things but it was just short of being good.

Please do go on.
The character selection in the Mario Kart games is always the weirdest, taking up slots for fan favourite characters with nobodies with no personality. I'm not even talking about Metal Mario, he's actually pretty radical even though he's just a distorted version of Mario.
I don't think anyone really liked MK7's roster; the game otherwise was great, and it was cool we got Rosie back since she was still a rare occurrence back then, but dropping Waluigi for nobodies like the Honey Queen? Like, seriously?

They're actually pretty different though? They play completely differently.
Atleast in the actual Infamous games, never played Playstation All-Stars.
So there wasn't any Yoshi reveal this time. Guess we may have to wait until Summer for him to be revealed (For Yarn Yoshi).
I have a feeling we'll get a Pokemon character showing up next week
