it's pretty likely that he eventually found a way to implement the ice climbers and their central mechanic without melting the 3ds when there's 4 of them, just as he eventually found a way to implement villager as a fighter despite him being 'too peaceful' and you-know-who being too big

Characters always look like that when hit and not getting up, though? Sakurai hit Rosaina as another character, got her to stay down by not touching her controller, and took a screenshot. He did the same with Marth ages ago, and WFT.

True, but I wouldn't be surprised Jiggly Puff would be in the game since it was in the previous three games.

It's not really indicative of anything, so using that screenshot as a reason to suggest Jiggly is returning (as if she wasn't just assumed to be returning along with Ness, Captain Falcon and Yoshi) is silly. As is the suggestion of stamina mode, Sakurai never deviates from 'normal' Smash settings unless bringing attention to something. We never saw alt palettes on the Dojo unless he was showing them off, we never saw Stamina Mode unless he was showing it off etc. Same with team fights, different settings etc. tl;dr jiggly returning has nothing to do with that screenshot

Also, it's the damn devs. They could has well place the models in ways that would take too long to pose correctly. Or trigger animations through debug modes. Might also explain why some of the "jigglebones" (if the animations aren't all baked) don't react correctly in some pics, like Lucario's locks that clip through his shoulders. The only ones that would be legit (which are most of them I presume) are for gameplay scenarios, like the bat, the jumps and the KO/attack/smoke effects to kick in without outside manipulation. That's how I see it.
