christ toon link's model looks so BAD in that screenshot
Wait what?
the part where his sleeve leaves his tunic has terrible looking shadow, his tunic seems to be clipping his belt, that animation he's in looks awful
it's not a flattering screenshot

Great, now his small armpit shadow is all I'll be able to see when I'm playing.
I'm ready for cucco only matches with items set to high.
What's the name of the character behind Toon Link and the cucco? I don't think I've ever seen him before.
Dr. Frillard I believe.
He took place of Shrunk in City Folk sometimes to teach you the more rare emotions. And the characters actually like him and think his jokes are funny.

Oh god, it's like the Smart Bomb on steroids.

Or even a recovery item!
Imagine if he could slow down your descent while you hold it and the descent factor would change depending on what weight class your character belongs.
But yeah. Smart Bomb on legs.
Holy shit, that's awesome. I can see that royally fucking over really aggressive players that like shooting shit and stay on a constant offense.
I have a hunch I'm going to get royally fucked by cuccos in the future :v:
it's most likely going to require multiple attacks to set off though, like in the games themselves
Cucco sudden death round.
Can't wait to drop/throw one of those in front of a falcon punch.
My brother and I already have a set playlist of whacky and fun gamemodes we do, this is just going to add to the list.
High Speed, Low Gravity, constant cucco matches, make it happen

The Parasol from Melee did that too.

Speaking of Parasol, I hope they bring it back. Had loads of fun with it on high-jump, low grav Hyrule Temple way back in the day.
Man, I don't know what they did, but I love Project M's Ice Climbers. It's the first time I've ever been remotely good with them.

It made them better.
it made everyone better
can't be OP if everyone else is too
I think that's Sakurai's approach now with SSB4 and it's going to kick ass, more ridiculous shit but it's ok because it all balances out
I thought that was Brawl-'s thing.

He definitely seems to be taking everyone's input into account, rather than just artificially catering to more casual play. Changes to ledge grab hogging, removal of tripping, and practically Lil' Mac's entire character are appealing to more competitive players while also being fun additions for normal gamers.
They've also got Namco on netcode duty, and with their Tekken Tag 2 + Soul Calibur 5 track record, that's a VERY good thing.
I said it already and I'll say it again: SSB4 is going to be one hell of a game!
Both in aesthetics and gameplay!
I'm so goddamn PUMPED!
I hope the cuccos are also throwables.
Hold onto a cucco, when someone uses a smash attack or projectile throw it at them so they end up hitting it and angering the horde. Oh boy.
It was a long time before I realized that it was "cuocco" and not "cucco".

No, it is "cucco." Where did you get "cuocco" from?
I mean... it was a long time before I realized that it was "cucco" and not "cuocco".
I'm all mixed up.
This is why I don't understand how it can be fun without items, they're just too silly to pass up
Pic of the day. Here's a comparison of characters with and without their outlines on the 3DS version. They also give off a different impression in 3D, so customize the look however you like.
Eh, items have their good times and bad times. Charging an attack only for an explosive to appear in front of you, or losing a match because of something like a timer or dragoon is annoying as shit.
