Something interesting to note on the Direct although it may not mean much: The last game specific Direct besides Wii Fit U was The Wonderful 101 Direct in August. The game was then released a month later in North America..... Oohhhh mmmyyyy!

hgngghnhgng So fucking hype. It's like 5 AM and I knew I should've went back to sleep but I didn't and this is what I get for getting on my PC to check my Steam downloads. Guess I'm staying up the rest of the morning cause there's no chance of me going back to bed after seeing that.

Also I'm trying to debate what Isabelle does. Also why does she say it's HER town. My guesses are: 1. Boring, but she drops small healing items near the person who called her. 2: She chases after players with the basket of fruit and trips/bonks em on the head on accident 3: Some combination of the two, like the bonk will plant the person it hits and the fruits scatter 4: She's the hidden member of the DK crew and she has some kind of deadly fruit gun.

Eh, Animal Crossing isn't a violent series so she probably just hands out healing fruit.

Also 90% sure it's wonder red being announced or something- thinking about that further it just makes sense. Kamiya has retweeted it hinting (keyword) that you should look at it for some reason or another and April on the Nintendo Calendar is W101 themed. Seems like a safe bet. Villager's entire schtick is that he could easily be unaware that he's hurting anyone. All his moves are innocuous outside of the context of a fighting game. What people interpret as maliciousness from Villager (ala those memes everyone loved so much when he was revealed) is more likely just the same sort of mischievousness players feel by bonking villagers on the head with a butterfly net. Isabelle isn't going to willingly hurt anyone. Something like that "Accidentally hurts someone" thing is the closest she'll get to.
