I feel like Sakurai only announced the Smash Run mode for the 3DS version because he has something just as, if not more special, planned for the Wii U version, and didn't want to spoil it. He just wanted to give something that will sell the 3DS version when it's out, and then he'll announce something that will sell the Wii U version when it's coming closer to Winter.

If the 3DS version have the same characters as Wii U, do we have to re-unlock the same characters for the Wii U?

I was honestly debating whether or not I would get a Wii U, but I really feel like this will effect the Wii U Sales if the game has been out for months, especially since I'll already own a game and don't want to drop the huge amount of money on another console to just buy it again. Feels really, really strange.

I still don't understand most of you guys obsession with Ridley being in smash.

For people complaining about certain characters not being revealed, remember that there are always locked characters. I think Jigglypuff has always been an unlockable character, so I assume they are just going to stick with that this time around. But... no Smash Run in the Wii U version is one of the dumbest fucking things I've heard for this. A 3DS release first is also bizarre as hell and will certainly remove any surprise for unlockable characters in the Wii U version. This isn't helping the Wii U's case.

So if they now include Mewtwo and Jigglypuff on top of this, it'd be six Pokemon characters. Any more than that would be too much.

I think the "W" Icon for Wario showed up there when showing off Ashley, eh no doubt Wario is in regardless of that.

For anyone still wondering why smash run wasn't on the WiiU, it's because (as far as I know) it needs to run a separate instance of the maze world thing for each player, and that'd be confusing as hell on one-console.

We have guys like Bowser, Ganondorf, and Dedede, why not him? 2. He's a giant space dragon, how could you not want to play as that?
