wii fit trainer lady COTY all years
"Breathe slowly while you hold this pose so I can punch you in the gut"
As long as she doesn't take up a potential slot for someone much more interesting, I'm all for crazy ideas.
#girlwood
I like it. She is just as legitimate a character as Game and Watch or R.O.B
How... unexpected.
Like never in a million years would I have wanted her but because she's so out of the blue I'm actually starting to like it

Then again ROB had a story behind him in the Subspace campaign... kinda. Either way, you drive a good point.
I'll be honest, I saw it and was disappointed...
but then the video happened I like it and I'm back at full speed on the hype train
I was mad until I saw that Final Smash.
I've got nothing against her, but...
Wasn't there someone else? Anyone else? There must have been more suited characters.
If Mewtwo or Ridley don't make it in but the fucking Wii Fitness girl does I think I might just punch something.
I..I...
I don't understand.
oh fucking christ nintendo you had to put the fucking wii fit girl into ssb
god fuck
she would at least be relatively acceptable as an assist trophy but wtf this slot has to be wasted on the wii fit trainer
god damnit nintendo
i just want my little jack frost to be in the new game
Am I the only one who feels that she's really out of place?
She isn't really iconic of anything... and although she is technically part of Nintendo, she doesn't fit in with the environment of Smash Bros. All the other characters have personalities, are mascots of their series, are generally well-known, and they fight in one way or another in their games. But the Wii Fit Lady is just kind of... there.

I had no idea who Game and Watch and ROB were when I first discovered them. But I consider them great additions to the Smash Brothers franchise because I learned about their origins.

You could argue the same for Snake, or Mr. Game and Watch, or R.O.B.
Fact of the matter is that she's an icon of a Nintendo franchise: Wii Fit.
Mr. Game and Watch wasn't even an actual character until Melee created him, the Game and Watch games just used generic people-shapes since they were LED based.
If she is in, I hope we get a crapload of characters then.

Well, technically the Animal Crossing Villager's as much of a troll/joke character as this. Although cool and relevant, he seems to specifically be there to show they're just throwing the kitchen sink into this game and having fun with it.
OP needs to add the new character to the first post.
I feel like the Villager is comparable to Olimar.
Am I the only person that enjoyed playing as Yoshi and Olimar in Brawl?

That is true.
Guess I wont judge until I actually try her out myself. Who knows, she might be surprisingly good.
Yoshi was fun, but when I was flying off the edge I'd always throw an egg when trying to recover.
Damn you, muscle memory.
R.O.B. all day erry day.
That is actually really awesome. It's so dumb and out of place that I like it.
Hopefully this means more characters will be revealed throughout E3.
Wii Fit Trainer is a weird concept that looks like it might be executed well, but if we're getting stuff like that I want a roster that's at least fifty strong.
And that has to include Falco.

Looks like we are getting a Wii Fit stage.
She is only listed for Wii U there too, no 3DS screen shots.
Wii Fit Trainer is not quite the same as ROB or Game and Watch. They were unexpected because no one really recognised them. We all know who the Wii Fit Trainer is (at least I assume we all do) it's just shes a really odd character to place in a fighting game.
Although the same could be said about the villager but I think 2 of the 3 new characters being revealed being, essentially, joke characters is a concerning development.

So is the Villager, but I have a frightening feeling that although the number of characters will be the same, they might be different characters between versions
