The Direct was amazing, Sakurai is amazing(goddamn, that Pseudo-Palutena trophy bit)
My favorite/best character of all time Yoshi was announced as a returnee, so I'm utterly filled with infectious happiness.
And Greninja is an awesome addition, did not see that coming!
And the Elite Four stage looks awesome.
But if I could have ONE COMPLAINT, it'd be ALL OF THE DAMN MOVING STAGES.
There's way too many, IMO.
It doesn't really make sense to me that the elite 4 stage is a wii u stage, considering pokemon is almost exclusively a handheld game.
No Sakurai Pic of the Day?

Have you missed the Final Destination version for all stages part.
I couldn't care less what they do with stages now, I know they're all having a neutral version.

I figure it's just so that there could be SOME Pokemon stage aside from Stadium (which I assume will be included).
If captain falcon isn't in I will stab someone.
I couldn't stand ZSS' high heels. Thought it was fucking stupid example of fetish over functionality, (a problem I have with Samus' treatment as a whole) but at least they look like they have a practical use now.
oops I misread this at first, you're OK'ing the retrofitted ones and complaining about otherM's actual design.
I'm super eager to try her out, seems like her kick-oriented combat is a nice compliment to mac's fistravaganza
Come on guys, Captain Falcon is in, so is Ness, Jigglypuff, Wario, etc.
There are some characters they couldn't ever drop, Cpt Falcon is part of them.

Sakurai accidentally talked about him in an article where he was discussing balancing in Smash 4

Plus now that Jiggs is part fairy type, maybe they'll revamp its moveset.

I hope it keeps that rollout[?] thing, it's hilarious catching friends off guard by charging in off a platform with that. Unfortunately it's near identical to yoshi's egg roll, isn't it?
also his fall asleep move is guaranteed to miss every time I use it, even if I have someone stand on top of me. It's usually a fluke that it sends someone flying
Villager dude is going to be my main
wait no Yoga girl
nah maybe the ninja lizard
captain punches?
idk I liek them all
Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon, and Ness will definitely still be in. There's no way they would remove any of the original 12. They might not even announce those 3, they'll just let them appear in the game.
Also I hope the 3DS version is released early in the summer, so I can get it before I go on my trip.

That isn't a great alternative, I like static stages with multiple levels. I don't really have a problem with there being moving levels but hopefully they keep a good balance.
Will they maybe use the first impressions from the DS version to balance the wii version? I can think of a couple reasons why they would and wouldn't.

I want Rest to be un-nerfed.
Jigglypuff was my main in 64.
Didn't play much Melee, never had a Gamecube.
Reminds me of Katsuragi from Senran Kagura Burst on 3DS
Reminds me of C. Viper from Street Fighter 4.

This is the best possible problem to have.
With moveset customization being a thing, I wonder just how drastic the changes available are going to be.
For Mario we saw it impact the speed, trajectory, and power of his neutral special. We have a reasonable expectation that they could change Fox's blaster to be similar to the N64 or Falco iteration where it causes a brief stun but fires slower.
Could it be as drastic as changing a move entirely? For example, swapping Wario's bike out for his shoulder bash. We've yet to see him revealed yet so details about his moveset may be changed by now, but it's a possibility to have both his old moveset preserved alongside a Wario Land-themed moveset.
Also I'm hoping that we are able to set a blacklist/whitelist for random select. We could do it for stages when selecting a random stage in Brawl, but I'd like to also have that sort of flexibility carry over to the random character select, and even further: randomly select moveset customizations as well.

Kirby swapped out his suck ability for an ice breath, basically meaning he could no longer suck up enemies and take their powers/suicide drop.
I'd say that's pretty drastic.

Kirby has the Ice power (maybe trade the Swallow for it), DK has a super armor side-B that his slower but I guess buries the opponent longer, Pit has arrows that can do 360's and Marth has his Shield Breaker able to let him slide forward, similar to Ike's side-B in Brawl.
I'm thinking things like different lasers/missiles, multi-jump screwattack with little stun made for recovery to Samus, arrow types for Link (Bomb, Fire and Ice. Light arrows being Zelda FS) would be interesting.
I thought of that at one time when I saw Project M' Samus. It could change beam types with it's down taunt. But now, it's actually coming.
It will either be a sidegrade (-/+ thing, speed over damage, knockback over speed, etc) or a different move entirely (Kirby's Ice Breath).
Can't wait!

One thing that is a bit scary about those sidegrade variants is that for different characters there'd be an almost unanimously-better option unless it's balanced just right. It's a very precarious place to be in and not an easy task as they're effectively balancing double the amount of characters. A slow character would benefit most from having a fast jab-like attack in their arsenal to let them chain into their heavier attacks. A faster character won't need another fast attack, and can instead opt for the stronger and slower attack to give them more finisher options. I trust Sakurai's judgement on these decisions, but it's something that concerns me.
is it bad the thing that stood out the most to be during the new 3DS mode was the kremlings
they also had the tikis, so it seems to me they weren't JUST getting DK enemies to fulfil a ratio or something

There's a reason why the custom movesets are local and online with friends only. To let players screw around as they please with friends and bots without essentially shitting on everyone online with unbalanced character sets.

Maybe Sakurai's team will look into the 3DS feedback so they ultimately balance them for the WiiU (and update the 3DS accordingly).
I wonder what are all the reasons for the 3DS summer release. I thought balance but their gotta be more then just that.
But I might end up using custom moves for screwing around and use the defaults most of the time.
I wonder if the competitive scene will let players use custom moves...
I wonder what Kirby's Wii Fit Trainer costume will be
