Basically copy pasted from a GoNintendo post, but eh.

- Some items (like Blue Shell in the Halberd stage) are hidden (but revealed later via pics)
- Greninja's trailer reveals Pokeball Pokemon on the cliff
- It also reveals the Kalos Pokemon League stage (which changes/can be any of the different rooms)
- Charizard has a new side or dash move where he does a Flame Charge-esque thing
- You can't die on Balloon Fight on the left or right. You have to be shot upward or die in the water (it loops)
- Jungle Japes is the Melee version. The one character falls into the water and IMMEDIATELY dies
- There is a Mii trapped in the Find Mii stage. The picture on the Smash site had no Mii in it
- Sakurai says "these figure into All-Star Mode" or something when talking about Assist Trophies
- Waluigi is listed as a WARIO character
- The screen gets really crazy & dark when you get a Smash Ball
- Link has a new backflip & jump slash (similar to what he has in most 3D Zeldas)

A lot of people have been theorizing:
- About the Ridley shadow and what it means (since people are still holding on)
- About the Kremlings potentially hinting at K.Rool
- About the series/games the 4 trophies were from and if they mean new characters from those series. (Fire Emblem, Zelda, Kid Icarus & Metroid)

Perhaps consecutive flawless victories will net you assists themed around your character to help in the next fight, which have a longer duration (until you die)

For instance, win a fight flawlessly as Wario and in the next Ashley will help. If you get flawless again, Waluigi will jump in too.

I noticed that they had the camera focusing on the assist trophies in a way not unlike a normal 1v1 match. Maybe some of the assist trophies (not all) become opponents in All Stars mode?

People still clinging to Ridley scare me. Literally on screen text says "STAGE BOSS" and people are still trying to spin it as him being playable. Like seriously, come on dude.

Also just because Kremlings are around doesn't mean K.Rool, the tiki tongs are there too and that doesn't mean anything.

That Kalos champion thing I pointed out on a couple pages ago. I'm still pleased I called a entire stage months ago.

It surprises me how people still really, really, really want Ridley to appear as a playable character, especially after that. Even despite all evidence to the contrary besides theories about how the four series that had trophies during the direct would get new characters, some are so adamant. Like those going "AH, BUT TOON LINK IS IN THE SPIRIT TRACKS STAGE YET DISAPPEARS IF YOU PLAY TOON LINK ON IT, OBVIOUSLY YOU CAN DO THAT WITH RIDLEY"

The running theory is that Other M's bizarre Ridley (which was a clone of him or something) is going to be the stage hazard while Super Metroid's normal Ridley would/will be playable. The fact that the Direct only showed a shadow is being considered another troll move by Sakurai, after ZSS and Pseudo-Palutena.

...Don't look at me like that. I'm just parroting what I've seen on Smashboards.

Other M showed the life cycle of one of Ridley's race, as it was cloned from him. Apparently they start out as a little fluffy fuck, eventually sprout from that body into a large lizard, and gradually turn into the SPACE DRAGON Ridley. The clone then apparently gets frozen and left for Metroid Fusion's story if I remember right.

Honestly, unless you call it CLONE RIDLEY, besides artistic difference there's really not enough to separate Super Metroid Ridley from Other M Ridley. It may be a clone but the story basically treated it as a revival for Ridley and nothing more. But of course those that want Ridley for Smash Bros won't give a fuck about any of this.
