Well, so much for speculating how Megaman's moveset will be laid out :v:
It's surprisingly close to how Megaman worked in the fanmade Super Smash Land. Funny enough.
-Mega buster with optional charging
-Charge Kick
-Top Spin (it was stationary instead of a dash attack, though)
-Leaf Shield
-Crash Bomber (although it functioned more like Hard Knuckle does in Smash 4, also it didn't stick to players)
-Hard Knuckle (it went forward instead of downward)
-Air Shooter (an upward-traveling back-air attack)
-Item 1 (recovery move, creates a platform that can be used. Megaman cannot use it again until he touches solid ground, other characters can recover again though)
I mean the character is primarily designed around jumpin and shooting and no punching, so I'm not surprised that he's primarily projectile-based.
I expect the Villager to be a royal pain in the ass if you're Megaman though, since he can toss literally every attack you have back at you except for a few.
So when is the next Nintendo event?
I actually really like the WFT. Totally unexpected and the moveset looks pretty nice.
We know that Smash Bros 3DS and Wii U will have cross play so they would have to both have the same characters
I didn't know that, interesting.
Though that doesn't clear it 100%... but Nintendo isn't a dick to go a certain other route with that...
Also did ANYONE notice how OP Trainer's Final Smash is?
It looks to be easy to connect but doesn't look like much compared to Super Sonic or the Landmasters where you can possibly KO the same person twice in one use.
WFT should be an unlockable character, imo.
It's safe to assume she will be. The only question is...
How would you unlock her?
hopefully in a bit nintendo will release some more relevant characters into the game
cant wait
I really hope that the Villager's item grabbing is skill indexed like Mario's Cape is, otherwise it's going to be a complete bitch to fight against him with anything projectile-based. Megaman, Ness, and Samus will suffer the most.
I really hope that the two versions won't have exclusive characters, but it seems they will.
Could I at least unlock the 3DS characters in the WiiU version if I have both? If you're going to make me pay twice to get all the content at least allow me to access it all at once.
Megaman, Ness, and Samus will suffer the most.
Oh God that's right. He only has one physical attack.
Megaman vs Villager would be a slaughter if they don't find a way to divert it.
- she may also give herself health tips while battling
A 4-way battle with just her sounds like fun. SO MANY TIPS.
Well that confirms Ness at least.
WFT, WTF?
But seriously:
WFT's final smash is larger than Mario's and Samus', but it's probably weaker damage wise.
Also, the Wii Fit soccer ball is most likely just a reskin of the soccer ball item. Maybe it's a permanent reskin? Or maybe item looks will be randomized? Probably the latter.
Imo they should make it so her Final Smash consists of several exercise positions that point in a direction, and when you get hit by that precise piece, it knocks you in the corresponding direction. That way, the Final Smash isn't a guaranteed success to prevent it from being OP.

No 3DS screenshots.. Hmm.

"Mario, lay off the spaghetti".
Fit trainer x captain falcon is now a thing
What if both versions have different characters/stages/etc, but if you connect your 3DS to your WiiU then you get all the characters and stages from both games to use in each? It'll be interesting to see how connectivity plays out between the versions.
I've gone from shock and hate to full embracing of the addition of WFT.

Welp. I was dead wrong about doubting Megaman showing up.
I've never been happier to be wrong

Skip to 4:35 for gameplay with HUD. Also new victory screen

"Getting really tired of your shit, DK."
And for some reason, I can't stop thinking megaman looks like a three year old kid.

Oh thank god you can use the Pro Controller, I'd hate to try to play this otherwise.
Well, FLUDD's back for Mario and at least for now the victory screens are 2D showing only the winner

If memory serves right, Megaman is like, 10 in the original games

You are now aware that his nostrils look like eyes and his actual eye socket looks like a sad mouth that's eating eyeballs.

He's a robot, age is irrelevant to him.
WFT is kinda disappointing to me, I understand they were trying to try something new but out of the popular Nintendo charterers they could have picked from they pick a person from a fitness game.
