If he's playable he'd probably just have multiple jumps like charizard does, since they cut out pit's glide mechanic I'm not sure if they'd give him any sort of flying/gliding.

Charizard's mostly seen on the ground in the anime and such.

Speaking of Charizard, the more I think on it, the more Mega X starts to make sense from a gameplay perspective.

Its ability is Tough Claws, which powers up physical attacks which make contact - exactly how it will function as a final smash. Mega Y's is Drought, which... Just makes it sunny. You could argue his fire-based attacks would become stronger, but come on, this is super smash brothers. You'll be physically hitting people 90+% of the time if you're smart, so Mega X makes more logical sense.

if there's thing one Sakurai is certainly doing a good job with is getting me exited to see what changes the veterans have the Charizard changes are just perfect i wonder if he hasen't shown some of the others because they will be facing just as big changes as well ( i'm personally exited to see Wario and Gannondorf most in this regard) lets hope we see some of them soon

C'mon Wario! You've got two assist trophies (apparently, since Waluigi had Wario's icon), surely you can get two movesets. Or just replace the Brawl one with Wario Land stuff, either's fine.

Yeah, it'd be pretty obvious to change his dash attack, his throws and a few other moves to Wario Land versions to have more balance. I don't think Chomp or Corkscrew were particularly popular special moves so they can easily be changed (the Waft and Bike are pretty popular and contribute to his great air game so changing those would be riskier). Finally, maybe his taunts and victory animations depend on what costume he has; the biker costume keeps the current ones while the overalls gets more traditional "beat level" animations from the Wario Land series (opening a treasure chest a la WL3, rolling around in treasure, etc).

If there's two things I'd love to see from Wario when he returns, it'd be a new final smash alongside a variety of more Wario Land-like attacks. As for the final smash though, they could take inspiration from something like Wario World and have him use the black jewel to mess things up.
Wario Man fits with the idea of Wario's brute strength but it just makes him more Warioware-y than actually being like his original self and just seems a bit boring of a final smash for a character like him.
EDIT: Or maybe a different sort of transformation which allows Wario to become the ~master of disguise~, cycling between the different disguises and using their different abilities.
