G&W can only bucket energy based projectiles tho
Metal blade, crash bomber, and maybe leaf shield dont really apply
Megaman's moveset reminds me of the megaman from MvC2.

Could be intentional.
Sonic's moveset was designed after his fighting style in Sonic The Fighters.
Are people wanting a dark souls rep serious.
Sakurai said they had to appear at nintendo at least at one point and none of the souls games has :?:
I really honestly think it's just going to be pacman if anything. Rally-X flag appears to summon old arcade games from Namco's collection so who's the biggest namco arcade star? That and Nintendo's made Pac-man's games as well.

Which is sad, I wish he had his moveset based off of Sonic Battle instead. Oh well. Maybe with these customizable movesets you can do that. One can hope..
On another note, I had a dream last night that I had an early access copy of Smash 4 for Wii U... Only difference was, for some reason I could play it on my Wii but I couldn't use the gamecube controller, and you could only select a handfull of characters from the start, and the character selection screen greatly resembled that of a standard fighting game. (Maybe I'll draw it if someone wants me to)
I selected Greninja and started a battle and the next thing I knew I was outside, battling another character in the tree in front of our house, with Greninja, holding the Wii remote controlling him with that.
Then I woke up.
What does it meaaan

Wanting a Dark Souls rep is at least a better expectation than fucking Goku. :v:
Anyway, wanting a character isn't the same as actually expecting a character to make it in. I would fucking love Solaire or something to make it in but I sure as hell don't think that's gonna happen.

It means you should go outside.

iirc, Sakurai mentioned that one of his moves are like a "Shoryuken from MvC"
Why do people think that Mega Man's basic move projectiles are going to be reflectable? There were a shit ton of projectiles in Brawl that weren't reflectable. It wouldn't make sense to make Megaman's basic attacks be defended against in such a basic way.

But I've been outside a lot recently :v:

The thing is, every basic projectile from the characters has almost always been reflectable, and in this case the Villager can even grab things like Samus' charged shots right out of the air. Due to Mega Man's primary focus being on his projectiles, though, he can probably have his shots reflected or caught, but he can either keep shooting at the enemy once their reflection attempt finishes with more rapid shots than any other character, or he can close the distance while they're doing it and use one of his smashes to counter.
So uh, i've been wondering.
Have we once seen any evidence of alternate colors returning? I wonder because maybe they have been entirely replaced with alternate costumes.
It's a stretch, but man it would be cool.

I doubt they would be replaced, with features like Team Battle returning.

I see it like this. Projectiles from Special moves (Samus Charged Shot, Mega's Metal Blade, Mario Fireball, etc) can be reflected/absorbed while projectiles generated by Standard/Smash moves (Olimar Pikmin throw and Mega's Charged Buster and Lemons) cannot.
It makes sense for most if not all of the characters in previous games.

I'm pretty sure that's not an alternate colour and it's just the lighting of the picture making his hat look lighter than it is.

You have to remember that Fox's Down-B Reflector basically reflected every single projectile and thrown item (that wasn't a Final Smash). There'd be no worth in trying to reflect the smaller pellets unless a Mega Man player just kept spamming them like an idiot, and Mega's charged shots can probably be swiped by the Villager like any other. They may be his main method of attack, but giving him an exception on ranged attack priority against counters would also be unfair to those characters.

Eh, on the Brawl Dojo we only saw alternate colors in the post that explicitly dealt with them. Unless Sakurai wants to show a feature off he usually goes with default options so that he can concentrate on showing whatever it is he wants.

There have been only two examples of characters having projectiles as non-special attacks (Olimar's Pikmin and Snake's mortar launcher) and none of them have been reflectable. I don't see Megaman's attacks being any different.

Dunno how much we should post from gamexplain, but this is a pretty long video analyzing all the possible newcomers that are being hidden from us.

[quote]A bit of a distraction doodle that I’ve been wanting to draw since seeing the recent Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct stream. I’m glad that Zero Suit Samus is a separate character now, but like a majority of the internet, I do find her heels to be an odd choice. Also, I think I like the Zero Mission version a bit more than the Other M one. ( in addition to being associated with Other M haha )
Anyway, it turns out I love the idea of Samus wearing shoes. It’s silly to have the need justify her being on equal footing with the others. That reason makes absolutely no sense in something like Smash Bros. lol.
Therefore, here are some sneakers ;3; I feel like that’d fit her better than cyber high heels. The fabulous AND deadly approach fits more with someone like Bayonetta than it would with Samus. To me, sneakers are more of a sporty sexy + more naked than naked appeal. Drew the other shoes for the hell of it.
But still, both versions of Samus in Smash yay! ( Midna not as a playable character boooo XD; )

New Skullgirls DLC: Amus Saran.
I agree with the post that came with those pictures that it's odd that they need to 'justify' ZSS being strong. Like, fuck, it's like if they went "how do we justify ness being able to float when he jumps, I KNOW WE GIVE HIM A HELMET THAT INCREASES THE POWER OF HIS PSI ABILITIES". Just let ZSS kick really hard right off the bat.
