Anyway...
Pic of the day. Here's a very, very new fighter in the upcoming Smash games, Greninja. Greninja's sophisticated moves are extremely fun to use once you get used to how it controls!

The side special attack Shadow Sneak is a move that makes Greninja suddenly disappear and ambush opponents. If you press and hold the button, Greninja will move a greater distance. Another unique feature is you can move Greninja around freely while charging up.
"Get used to how it controls", huh? Sounds like they're giving him an unusual moveset.
So it's Meta Knight's Cape move?
wtf i was just going to make a comment on how they only showed three of his special moves in the direct
Wtf I was just going to make a comment on how they only showed three of his special moves in the direct
They showed all of them 1: Shuriken 2: Shadow Sneak 3: Substitute 4: Aqua Jet/Hydro Pump recovery.
They showed all of them 1: Shuriken 2: Shadow Sneak 3: Substitute 4: Aqua Jet/Hydro Pump recovery.
i never noticed his side special in the direct, oops
I completely agree with this, that's why I want Jeff in it.
If we're going for a non-stripe shirt tool-based character you might as well use Duster and not oversaturate the game with EB representation.
I love Samus' victory jingle, so I go on Youtube and find these:
Give Toon Link the Deku Leaf, Skull hammer, and the grappling hook, and we'll be in business
Don't forget the Mirror Shield!
If we're going for a non-stripe shirt tool-based character you might as well use Duster and not oversaturate the game with EB representation.
Well, I'd argue Jeff's character is similar enough to Loid that he kind of represents both of them, and it wouldn't really make sense to have a side character from one game without the main character, I would never advocate Jeff without Ness being there.
Yet, no one says a single thing about Peach fighting in her heels or even Zelda in her Melee incarnation. Maybe it was the dress... We could add one to Samus. Maybe that'll fix the problem!
well yeah because they're princesses of being pretty and needing rescue whereas samus is the princess of ass-kicking plus zelda loses her heels when she transforms into sheik
But she still used them to create a devastating Dynamite Kick, as strong as the Cap'n Knee of Justice. That's quite something. And anyways... getting stepped on by high heels hurt a lot more than normal boots. It looks weird to see ZSS with high heels, yes. But I still like Sakurai's approach on the design of Other M to make it practical. It also gives a visual cue to her kicks range, similar to Link and Marth Sword Swipes being unique to them (Link's coming from the entire blade and Marth's coming from the tip of his blade).
Well isn't this a blast from the past... [t]http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/736/010/4fd.png[/t] (Found it on KYM.)

down b: soapstone sign causes enemy to jump off cliff thinking there will be sick loot
I really don't consider Pac Man to be on the same level as Mario or Sonic or Mega Man. I mean, those three are mascots, icons. They've all got interesting designs and games that explore their personalities and abilities. Pac Man's just a smiley face with mittons. Literally his only interesting attribute is that he chomps things. He's just a boring, boring character. I'm not saying that he's not iconic; he is. He is THE arcade character. But I can't see him fitting in the Smash roster. If he does make it in, the only way I can see it ending well is if they give him a total makeover. New design, new personality, new everything. Do for Pac Man what Subspace Emissary did for characters like ROB and Mr. Game & Watch.
On top of this, Pacman is really only iconic for his arcade appearance.
pacman as a retro wakka wakka assist trophy seems more likely than as a playable character
down b: soapstone sign causes enemy to jump off cliff thinking there will be sick loot
All of his taunts are "Well, what is it?"
I've already made my peace with the fact that the likes of Mii, Pac Man and Chrom are incredibly likely to be in Smash 4. All I need is Little Mac, some Wario Land stuff and maybe one other newcomer and I'll be fine.
If only...
On spotting Zero Suit Samus: "Massive chest ahead"
On spotting Zero Suit Samus: "Massive chest ahead"
"Try holding with both hands"
"Try holding with both hands"
"Weakness: Thrusting" Also final smash: "Become bass cannon" +Cannot be launched +Extreme damage +Attacks stun your opponent briefly All your taunts are replaced with "Well, what is it"
I've already made my peace with the fact that the likes of Mii, Pac Man and Chrom are incredibly likely to be in Smash 4. Since there isn´t much going on now, I found this old match between a Snake and Link. Normal Brawl, no Project M at the time. Very tactical match.
i love how link dominates snake for the first 30 seconds and then in the 5 seconds after that snake evens the damage completely
(I mean yeah Robin would be way better because spellsword character, but still, Chrom is awesome and a big nerd)
Chrom is boooring. :v: Yeah Robin would be definitely the best, especially since he/she is more or less the real main character in the game but I can't really imagine how they would pull that off. Either way I hope we get an unexpected new FE rep. Chrom would be just too predictable.
If Simon Belmont makes it, I want Sakurai to make a whip fight between Simon and Zero Suit Samus. Also they better have Simons strut or i will not be happy.
So Smooth McGroove did a thing.
It would be cool if Lucas was revamped to the gameplay in Mother 3. For those that don't know, Mother 3 had a similar fighting system to Mother 2/Earthbound, except this time around, you can score extra hits on the opponent when you press the action button to the beat of a song during your attacking phase. So in Smash, if you attack it a rhythm, musical notes could appear. If you miss a hit/hit off beat, the notes attack whoever you were attacking. Or if you attack in a rhythm, you just progressively do more damage.
