Also they better have Simons strut or i will not be happy.
It's called the Belmont Pimp Walk, it's hereditry.
It would be cool if Lucas was revamped to the gameplay in Mother 3.
For those that don't know, Mother 3 had a similar fighting system to Mother 2/Earthbound, except this time around, you can score extra hits on the opponent when you press the action button to the beat of a song during your attacking phase.
So in Smash, if you attack it a rhythm, musical notes could appear. If you miss a hit/hit off beat, the notes attack whoever you were attacking. Or if you attack in a rhythm, you just progressively do more damage.
Never liked that in Mother 3.
Mostly because I played with my volume off, I guess

The emulator I used didn't have a good enough response time for the rhythm thing to be viable.
If you liked the Smash Documentary you might wanna check this out.

I don't think there's anything that song doesn't go well with.
I thought that was going to be Guile's song.

Is that how you do it?
I am happy they added the "For Glory" mode so they can keep the tourneyfags quiet and hopefully not cry at people having fun.

this is what's supposed to happen:

Right now everybody's complaining about FD being too imbalanced for a true competitive online experience.
...Never thought I'd see the day.
(It apparently gives an advantage to projectile users or something, but I wish people would just be happy with it.)
Every character is going to be situational depending on what stage you're playing. If you can't adapt to the battle conditions, then you aren't a very good player in the first place.
(Directed at those who complain about certain stages being unbalanced for certain characters)

It's true tho, a lot of characters can make great use of vertical movement, and without platforms, are at a disadvantage.
Just add Battlefield on top and it'll be fine, some tryhards will cry that only one stage with platforms isn't enough and that size and position of these platforms matter, but fuck them.
I'm sure this was posted already, but

This image gets me every time I look at it.
Can't we call social services on Capcom for neglecting one of their IPs? :v:

"Due to overwhelming negative responses from the competitive community, we have decided to replace Final Destination in For Glory mode with New Pork City. Please Understand."
To be honest, despite the Final Destination, No Items, Fox Only injoke, Battlefield only would be more balanced than Final Destination only. :v:

That's funny. I see more people crapping on the playstyle of "tourneyfags" than the other way around, especially here.
As much as For Glory mode sounds nice to keep those who like to play competitively, like Brawl it's still going to be more optimal to add people personally anyway.
More so depending if there is no selection from FFA to 1v1 or if it's simply on time match. In addition, no custom movesets online with randoms.
Is it just me or is character selection in future Smash games likely getting changed for better or worse? What we're seeing in SSB4 is arguably the prioritization of unique movesets but at the cost of important characters like the Pokemon Trainer

I'd rather take a modest selection with a great amount of personality and uniqueness over a huge selection with a number of clones or excessive elements in place. Personally speaking, I didn't care much for the Pokemon Trainer as a gameplay element, since your movesets shift so much if you die a lot and it takes time to switch all the way back to a preferred moveset of the three. Simply playing between Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard when you get them is one way to do it, but none of them really were that great to me in Brawl.

generally if you pluralise that you have to give more than one example
and you don't really have one do you

I've been waiting for him to do this ever since I first saw his channel.

Yeah, this thread loves complaining about a problem that doesn't exist outside of meme pictures.
I just wish For Glory would also support 3-platform stages as well. Those add for some needed variety from just FDFDFDFDFD

Pokemon Trainer was an awful character. Gen 1 definitely didn't need 5 different Pokemon to represent it, the changing gimmick combined with the stamina gimmick meant that you were forced to change if you wanted to not be underpowered, and that left you inactive long enough that anyone with half a brain was already planning how to beat your face in the second you came out of it, along with preventing those characters from having a down special. Sheik basically outclassed Zelda so that Zelda's entire purpose was changing to Sheik and staying that way, and denied both characters a down special. Zero Suit Samus was a pain to switch to and a pain to change back from, and ruined both Samus and ZSS' final smashes.
Let's not forget that people treated them as a single character when they took way more work then a single character; most were 2 characters minus a down special plus all the work needed to make them change forms, and Pokemon Trainer took the work of 3 characters to implement a single shoddy one.
Honestly I'd prefer if they added more standalone characters instead of having these 2-in-1 deals that just make both halves weaker.

Yeah seriously, it's not just Smash either. People on Facepunch bitch about playing competitively even when no-one was talking about competition at all.
On the subject of "For Glory" mode, I hope the different variations on Final Destination aren't exclusive to it.
Safe to say you can use them outside it with what we've seen in the direct with Rosalina doing her Final Smash on FD Mario Galaxy and the pong assist on FD Pyrosphere.

Its not. They show a final smash being used on one of those stages.

fox only no items final destination is a silly stereotype. they use all of the stages that don't scroll or have a stage hazard, and each player gets stage bans for that advantage reason you stated. i'm glad that the for glory mode was added, but im kinda dissapointed that it's FD only.
Yeah, adding Battlefield to the same mode would've been pretty easy. Just resize each themed stage's drop-through platform, then copy and paste them 3 times.
