Funny, every other character can be limited to what they actually physically do in their series unless they explicitly need a created moveset. Making things up is great for the likes of Captain Falcon and Wii Fit Trainer, because those characters didn't know much in their series that would make good fighting moves, but when you do it to Wario it's like if you gave Mario a moveset based off his spin-off games.
so is captain falcon really confirmed for not returning?
because i seriously will not buy the game if i can't play as my favorite smash bros char
In all seriousness I don't think you have anything to worry about, Captain Falcon is one of the more iconic things about smash bros. I mean it's not smash bros without FALCON PUNCH and SHOW ME YOUR MOVES

And then they just give his taunts/attacks to a completely unrelated character.
On another note, it's disappointing that Captain Falcon's appearance in Smash hasn't helped his series' popularity. EarthBound owes a lot to Smash64, the decision to keep Fire Emblem characters in the international versions of Melee led to the series being localized, hell, thanks to Brawl redesigning Pit and making him usable for new games people want MORE Kid Icarus characters.
Captain Falcon? He's just made himself popular.

Pic of the day. The 3DS version will have roughly the same types of Assist Trophies and Pokémon. Just roughly…

They don't have to be. Just search around on Youtube, usually YTPs or just memes in general that a lot of kids seem to be enamored with, and it's a cinch to find.

Mario Kart Wii is one of the best-selling games of all time, by the logic they apply to Wario Mario would never get out of his kart and attack with banana peels.
Have they said anything about the actual fighting mechanics thus far?
Personally I hope it's a lot better than Brawl's, too much air-based stuff in that game, a nice return to basics (i.e Melee-like) would be nice.

Sakurai said they were going to make the speed somewhere in between brawl and melee and I think that's the best possible way to go personally
The airdodges are Brawl's rather than Melee's, making the game already pretty casual gameplay wise.
I wonder if we'll be able to unlock the characters already unlocked in the 3DS when we connect it to the WiiU?
Aside extra trophies and the Global Smash Power being transferred, I wonder what more could add in terms of connectivity.
The moveset customization for one, I'd imagine.
I take it that profiles between games are gonna be handled like the names in Brawl that hold your control settings and can be stored in a Wiimote to take to a friend's house. Your settings, movesets, and stats are all probably gonna be tied to your NNID for both games.

how is having more mechanics to master more casual
He's talking about how Brawl's airdodge mechanic crippled wavedashing. Unlike Melee, it maintains your momentum and doesn't send you into freefall afterwards. You see a lot of competitive Brawl mods like Project M change it back to the old "dead-stop in midair with a directional shift" mechanics.
Personally, I prefer Brawl's. Wavedashing be damned, I like how you keep your trajectory and keep your ability to act afterwards.
i understand that wavedashing technically is a bug but i still dont see a reason why they went total "omfg this has to be removed!!!!" in brawl / upcoming games (?).
it didnt really interfere with casual play and if you wanted to learn the game more deepy it just...was there? it allowed you to do a lot of cool things like this

replace "cool" with "unfun"
Even without wavedashing, Melee's airdodge allow you for more interesting gameplay, as well as being more punishing, the fact you can stop your momentum and put a slight boost in another direction opens up tons of stuff, and the fact that you're in helpless state after an airdodge makes matches more fast paced, as you'll get punished for a bad airdodge.
replace "cool" with "unfun"
i really do not understand why there are people so angry with smash being played competitively or understanding its game mechanics and tactics more indepht
in what way is wavedashing / whatever i showed you "unfun"? because it expands the game more than the developers original design was? because it opens up new ways to play the game?
