Actually, I just noticed that Sun Salutation cancels momentum when used in midair.
Random thought, I wonder if they'll ever add a Juggernaut-esque mode to Smash, maybe "Powerhouse" or something like that. It'd work like this: - One player (chosen at random) becomes a powerhouse, their damage multiplied by three and their impact force multiplied by two - This player also has 100HP, while all others operate on percentages as per usual - The player who finished them off becomes the new powerhouse - KOs are only worth points if they are obtained as the powerhouse, or by eliminating the current one. The player who finishes them off gets two points for doing so - After 30 seconds, the powerhouse player loses 1HP every second, making stalling very risky. If this damage causes them to selfdestruct, the last player to hurt them becomes the powerhouse - The player with the most points at the end of 5 minutes wins
Oh dude that reminds me. I don't know if it was in Melee or Brawl, since it's reaaallly far away behind, but my brother and I used to play Stamina matches where he, a level 1 computer and I would be in a team with 10 hp against a level 9 Bowser at 300 hp. Shit was so freakin' frantic. I can just remember how much we laughed at our thin survival ! Man, I had good times with that game. That and Stamina matches with forced flowers on the players' head. Lots of panic.
i think advanced techniques are ok if they're not the type which are automatically better than the ones below, l-cancelling and stuff are better than any alternatives in every situation so they don't change the gameplay apart from just adding another button input set to memorize good ones: wavedash, short-hop-fast-fall stuff bad: l-cancel
-SHFFL relies on L-cancelling -Wavedashing is fucking stupid, it'd be better to just make it smoother to transition from a run to a tilt/smash attack rather than doing this ridiculous dodge into the ground on the first frame of your jump shit
That one was bad, but I always hated the Yoshi's Egg event match more.
Oh man, fuck that one!
-SHFFL relies on L-cancelling
not in brawl because it's just short-hop fast-fall
Oh man, fuck that one!
That one was easy as heck. Double jump around the stage: The Event.
As a kid the thought of blood terrified me, to this day I can't eat ketchup or even really look at it without feeling a tiny bit queasy. When smash64 came out my mom rented it for me and on the back of the box (or it was on the rental coupon I can't remember) one of the pikachu's had the red party hat and was knocked over and I was terrified of this game because sOMEONE KILLED PIKACHU HE'S BLEEDING ON THE FLOOR ;___; You guys think Brawl makes you feel old yeesh :v:
My buddy managed to beat the Fox and Falco one, but we're still stuck on Trophy Tussle 2 (I think, the one with Entei).
He seems to be landing in a crouch. The red flash is an indicator that he KOed a player.
Okay, taking a second look today, that crouch animation is his landing delay animation from his Up-B, since he was spinning in mid-air akin to like he did in Brawl after using the spring. So yeah, besides the death flash confirmation that I think they confirmed during or shortly before the Direct, nothing new here.
GameXplain is back with their thoughts on a new batch of character 'leaks'
Sounds like something out of a bad video game creepypasta Did the cartridge have SMASH BROS scribbled on it in marker with messy handwriting?
Naw, it was just a normal screenshot of the fighters on Silph Co. Pikachu was in his knocked over animation and the red hat was halfway clipped into the ground (because n64) so there was just this red stuff around his head and young me assumed Nintendo went hardcore and killed pikachu. I seriously kept the game in the rental box for like a full day because I didn't want to see mario shoot the mouse in the head or something. Go figure I eventually played it and fell in love with it but still, silly shit as a kid
a xenoblade stage where you fight on top of the bionis and mechonis would be sick
can somebody tell me who shulk is, what he does, where he's from, and why i should stop confusing him with she-hulk looking it up using google is too hard you guys
can somebody tell me who shulk is, what he does, where he's from, and why i should stop confusing him with she-hulk looking it up using google is too hard you guys

Shulk (シュルク, Shuruku; English dub: /ˈʃʊlk/) is the main protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles. He likes to think things through and is very methodical in his approach to most situations.

In gameplay, aside from the Monado arts, Shulk has very few normal arts (only eight) compared to every other permanently playable character (about fifteen moves each). However, he can call upon the power of the Monado, which can stock another eight skills unique to the Monado itself, and all of his moves are useful in a variety of ways. He also has the third lowest HP of the playable cast, above Melia and slightly more than Sharla, but his Strength and Speed greatly balance out this flaw. An important note is that after gaining the Monado, Shulk can't switch weapons. This works both for and against him. Whenever a point in the story occurs where Shulk gains a new Art for the Monado, its damage will increase. This means at times he will jump ahead of the other characters in terms of damage, but they will eventually catch up to him.
So hard to find it http://xenoblade.wikia.com/wiki/Shulk
that must have been painstaking to try to find thanks
Do any of you guys think we'll get some kind of DLC for SSB4 like cut characters, more stages, etc?
Jesus fuck. Why is event 35 in melee fucking ridiculously hard? Like before I can move Mario and Peach fuck me up to lethal damage.
Do any of you guys think we'll get some kind of DLC for SSB4 like cut characters, more stages, etc?
Costumes and trophies/stickers if anything
Do any of you guys think we'll get some kind of DLC for SSB4 like cut characters, more stages, etc?
I sure hope not paid dlc free if anything
The more I play Brawl the more I'm sad that Snake probably won't make the cut. He's super fun to play as and since I just got into the series I was hoping to be able to play as him in the new one.

It was basically Megaman making it in vs. Snake making it in, or getting rid of Sonic for Snake. With a huge amount of popularity Megaman and Sonic get, it was pretty much inevitable.
i am not hyped for pacman at all if they use his dumb ghostly adventures design
i am not hyped for pacman at all if they use his dumb ghostly adventures design
The fact that it's the son of Pac-man pisses me off even more.
i am not hyped for pacman at all if they use his dumb ghostly adventures design
do I have to bring out the A, B, C, and D pacman redesign options again and make everyone sad
The fact that it's the son of Pac-man pisses me off even more.
It's not even Pac-Man? WTF Namco
As far as melee events go, I only didn't complete 2. The final one, and the one where you have to fight link as young link. Fuck that event particularly.
I beat that one in 5 seconds the first time i tried it through pure random chance. Later my brother came in and saw the record and was genuinely amazed.
This actually happened to me in a couple events. Dino Wrangling (Ev4) was one of them (basically what happened in this video) that I couldn't reproduce, and the other with Trouble King 2 (Ev42) for the first life of this video.
I don't want Pac-Man in at all. I also don't want Miis in at all. They are not interesting, I hate the way Miis are designed and will likely hate whichever design is chosen for Pac-Man, and they don't sound like they would bring a unique and/or fun fighting style to the game at all.
