Still waitin on Rayman :v:
Man, and they don't sound like they would bring a unique and/or fun fighting style to the game at all.
I don't know why you could think that when Sakurai is capable of giving Villager and WFT "fun fighting styles." How are Pacman and Miis any different? It entirely depends on what Sakurai is able to put together.
I think I'm the only person who wants to have Solid[sp]us[/sp] Snake in the game. His moveset has so much potential.
I for one can't wait until Snake Plissken gets a slot.
pac man will be fine, they'll just pull a mega man and make his design the oldest one that still works for the game. sonic doesn't have a sonic boom redesign alt costume after all. miis will also be fine, i'm hoping they'll be the create-a-fighter option that follow similar rules to the customisable moveset option in that you can only use them if everyone chooses to use them (like in a unique mode that they can't be played outside of). they have plenty of moveset potential anyways what with all the streetpass games, wii sports/play/music etc. i'm pretty much prepared for all the worst characters to get in over any characters i give a damn about.
don't worry guys i'm sure goku will have his early dbz outfit and not his gt one

WFT has many yoga poses, Villager has activities/objects to use from AC. What does a Mii do? Well, usually they sit around and look pretty, but I can see Sakurai pulling things from Find Mii or whatnot. However, what does Pacman do? Eat pebbles, powerups, fruit, and ghosts. That doesn't allow for very much creativity, in my eyes. I don't know, I just don't think they would make good characters. Plus, Sakurai can make good movesets, but that doesn't mean every move set is good. Take Sonic, for example. Rolling. Pretty fun, right? Disagree with me all you want, I don't think anyone can convince me that Pacman and Mii will make a good addition.

I could see a Mii working better than Pac Man. They've got all the Wii Sports stuff to choose from, for one. You could have a boxing punch, a bowling ball side-B, a tennis serve... Hell, you could bring in crazy shit like go-karts if you wanted. Pac Man literally has nothing but chomping though. He doesn't have multiple weapons like Mega Man. He doesn't have multiple attacks and powerups like Mario. Literally the only way I could see him working is if they made him a Namco amalgam character in the style of Mr. Game & Watch. Incorporate stuff like Centipedes and Dig Dug into his moveset. But even then, I'm not totally sold on the idea since Pac Man has absolutely zero personality. You look at the cutscenes in SSE (or even just the taunts) and every character feels really rounded out and fun, despite them barely saying anything. Captain Falcon is really corny and over-dramatic, Diddy is an excitable scrapper, Toon Link is your basic young hero, but he's a little clumsy, and so on. Meanwhile, Pac Man just sorta smiles and eats dots and fruit (and sometimes ghosts).
E3 rolls around, there's a solid blue coloring and a few dots laid out, pacman comes chomping through them till he gets to the last one and freezes. Camera pans out and it's Klonoa's hat. Klonoa joins the fight (in your dreams) alternatively Super Metroid rendition of Ridley's theme is playing, Ridley bursts from the wall and begins fighting Samus then pauses to the sound of a phone ringing. Camera once again pans out and Hades is just sitting back with a controller and a earbud "Oh you want little old me in smash? I'm in the middle of some IMPORTANT work right now but sure!" His splash screen comes up and trailer ends on a zoom in of ridley before the tv gets turned off [sp]and ono holding a blanka toy is seen in the reflection[/sp]

Not everyone is as unique as the Ice Climbers or Rosalina, Mr. Game and Watch is pretty much stock-standard other than the judgement hammer. There's pretty much no character that utilises parabolic bounces as their attacks, it'd be totally unique.
Thats what they said about Daisy & Waluigi's moveset...
Adding to this every character already does that. Peach uses sports gear, Lil Mac and Villager use boxing gloves, etc etc
Miis were a huge selling point for the Wii and they continue to be heavily utilised with the 3DS and Wii U, they clearly deserve it way more than Waluigi whose only real claim to fame is that he was an internet meme for a little while

They'll have melee attacks and swipes with a cardboard sword but utilize the find mii shirt magic or the zapper guns (or whatever) in that ghost house plaza game.

at least he's not a blue haired sword user
I don't really want pac-man in. He just doesn't seem all that interesting as a character, like I know a lot of Nintendo characters are essentially blank slates meant to be player avatars but holy shit at least they have interesting visual designs, or cool weapons. Pac-Man is a yellow sphere arms and legs. and he's always had the most bland moves in his platformers: Jumping, sliding, butt bounce, chomp. I recall one game lets you throw pellets as a short range projectile but that was still kinda lame.
I want pac-man in because I like to imagine all the model edits that could happen with him. I remind you of pikaman or whatever that monster was called
I want pac-man in because I like to imagine all the model edits that could happen with him. I remind you of pikaman or whatever that monster was called
You do realize it´s a crime in some countries to not know who Pikachu is.
You do realize it´s a crime in some countries to not know who Pikachu is.
pikaman isn't pikachu though
pikaman isn't pikachu though
I searched Google about Pikaman. I am so sorry now.
I searched Google about Pikaman. I am so sorry now.
u shud be ashamed
I want pac-man in because I like to imagine all the model edits that could happen with him. on a different note get a look at what marioking64ds has been up to i got a good laugh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gShxsCXeZRw i hope he finish's it soon
Do any of you guys think we'll get some kind of DLC for SSB4 like cut characters, more stages, etc?
I think they made it pretty clear in an interview that they will not make any kind of DLC. Releasing it in a complete state.
