Green and Red shells were in 64 and Melee, Brawl removed Red Shells (except from Koopa enemies in SSE which didn't work like Red Shells from 64/Melee anyways) and I think Wii U/3DS has Green, Red and Blue shells.
So I was going through an old Gamecube memory card today, and found some data for Warioworld.
While I found the game was fairly forgettable, I do remember one thing from it:

This needs to be a song on whatever Wario stage we get.
To this day, this is still Wario's theme in my mind. It just fits him so perfectly.
There's been a Red Shell since SSB64, I think they added in Green Shells in Melee.
Green shells were in Smash 64, too.

The overworld theme even back in Wario Land 1 captured Wario's style perfectly: blunt and crude, just like Wario. He's not got the happy-go-lucky melodies that Mario's games are recognized for, he's in it for his own gain and he'll pummel anything that gets in his way and almost every tune in the Wario games deliver on that sort of overtone.
Oh right
I went back and played subspace emissary, and i'm PRETTY SURE there was a red shell
I think there were Red shell koopas that dropped red shells that functioned exactly like green shells.
Yup

Another thing that'd be neat is a Wario Land boss remix medley, starting with 2, then transitioning to 1, followed by 3, smoothly transitioning into the final theme of 3, then final battle of 2...
Not sure where to fit the tracks from 4 and Shake It, though.
I want Ice Climbers tonight
I was never fond of those two eskimos. Mainly because Nana is dumber than a sack of potatoes and the moment you get separated you're totally boned. If your AI partner bites the dust you may as well throw yourself off the stage along with her.

Assuming that we'd get a 3DS Wario Land stage, and considering that 3DS stages use Melee style "two tracks per stage" music, I'd like one to be just a general Wario Land remix, starting with the basic overworld theme (WL2 version used here) and transitioning into the SS Teacup/Bobo's Roost theme for a single loop, before restarting.
Honestly though, there are so many great Wario Land songs they could use. Although the Wario Land 3 theme/Out of the Woods is probably high up on their list. I mean, there's the original being the basis for most of the music in WL3, it's appearance in crossovers/Mario spin-offs like Densetu no Starfy 3, Mario Tennis all the way from GBC/64 to Mario Tennis Open (3DS)... It's practically Wario's leitmotif.
On another note, I'd love a Wario Land 4 stage based on the Topaz Passage + it's levels. They're all toy themed; Toyblock Tower (which would serve as the visual inspiration for the stage), Big Board (which uses a dice block as it's central gimmick), Doodle Woods (which had a unique enemy, Hoggus, who painted enemies that attacked you and could be an entity on the map) and Domino Row.

I like dumb gimmick characters and I found something fun about playing as them :v: I can't really defend Nana because man when the CPU takes her over she may as well throw herself off the cliff but when the two work together it's really charming.
I don't even know why they'd randomly be revealed tonight though, I just want something new that isn't something the direct covered.
Pic of the day. Yoshi's Egg Throw now leaves a rainbow trail, and we've improved the pose Samus strikes when she fires the Paralyzer. Every staff member is working hard as we brush up whatever we can.
There's a rainbow. My optimism is confirmed to be real.

The freaking out over Samus' design (in places other than facepunch) has only told me how many people completely ignored Other M and Samus' design in that and are acting like this came out of absolutely nowhere, because her design in this is a hell of an improvement from that, and the heels were far worse in Other M too.

It's stupid anyway because in a world where Demon Gaze, Senran Kagura, and Hyperdimension Neptunia exists adding heels you won't even notice when you're playing is literally nothing.
Oh no, she has silly shoes on she's suddenly not a character anymore.

Uh, people are angry BECAUSE it's from Other M. People hated that the Power Suit was mostly based off Other M as well, even though they really improved it for Smash. No-one's forgotten Other M; far from it. It's why there's such a fuss in the first place.
Can we get "Wario Land"-Wario instead of "Wario Ware"-Wario, Wario land wario actually combats enemies as opposed to the wario ware wario (whilst he probably does in at least one of the minigames in the series, it's not where he shines)
I like by "Improving" her pose they made her spine a slinky :v:

Sorry, should have been more clear, I'm talking about places other than Facepunch. I'm seeing a lot of people who think that this is a design that the Super Smash Bros team came up with on their own and are getting pissy at them as a result.

Every time I see her crouched pose her torso reminds me of Gumby.

Fair enough.

Yes, please.
Throws include a DK style carrier forward throw that lets you charge and aim, the Wild Swing Ding (Mario's backthrow + moving on the ground and hitting opponents multiple times if they get caught in the spinning), the Piledriver (slamming the opponent on the ground in a way that hurts other enemies caught in it).
Side Special is Shoulder Barge (with the Jet Wario hat if used in the air for horizontal recovery), Down Special is the Ground Pound that gains power while in the air and can be cancelled like Dedede's recovery with the same penalty for cancelling too late, Up Special is based off Wario transformations (Spring Wario, then Puffy Wario, he springs up and floats down) sort of like Game and Watch's recovery.
Other attacks include transformations for Smashes (Flaming Wario for Side-Smash, setting himself on fire for the charge animation and then bursting into flames for the actual attack, and his Down-Smash is just eating to become Fat Wario, then jumping to crush enemies).

His final smash should be the super-charge attack from Wario Land 4 (R + Run) and Wario Land Shake it/Shake Dimension (Those launcher things). Making that fat bastard charge around the stage and doing tons of damage to anyone caught in his path. If he runs into a wall or enough time passes it is cancelled.
And the music could change to the WL4 "Escape Level" theme on 3DS/Launchpad Labyrinth from WL:Wii on Wii U for the duration of the move.

You know we're going to get that random lol so wakee Wario Ware version.
Ugggh god I hate that version. He has a genuine movepool to work with and a ton of power ups of his own and instead of going with his brawn they made him a spazz. Why.
Edit: Please sakurai prove me wrong, make him the brute he's supposed to be.
Wario's grabs and throws should be piledrivers, suplexes, shaking coins out of people, and spinning throws, give him a proper shoulder tackle, and give him some real weight.
I'd be cool with his uncanny air control staying though, for a fat guy he's always been pretty nimble

I just imagined him rapidly shaking an enemy up and down to get coins out of them, before throwing them into the air a la Wario Land: Shake It and I loved it. Although I don't know whether his pummel should be shaking them, or just punching them while they're grabbed...
All I want from Smash 4 is Wario Land representation, to be honest. If I get that, I can tolerate anything Sakurai could think up.

Rapid fire headbutts or gut punches.
