see sakurai? there IS demand for goku in smash
After SSB4, Sakurai should look into a Smash Bros x JoJo game. It might be a hilarious clusterfuck, but I'd play the hell out of it.

I wish something had come of that Nintendo X capcom fighting game that was rumored a while back. I guess Rockman in smash is the end result.
Smash Bros can't be in a crossover, it already IS a crossover.
It's simple, we crossover the crossover. It'll be a Crossover^2

That Met looks like a sprite rather than a model
I guess that's an assuring sign that they got the style down. On another note, the pic was early today. I wonder if Sakurai's bumping thing's an hour back to account for DST?
-yeesh-
Don't take this for more than it's worth, but I can't help but notice that every single female playable character in this game is tall, slim, attractive, white, and young. Wii Fit Trainer is the only one with a different complexion and hair color, in fact. I think Nintendo needs to step up their character design in the lady's department
I don't know if they are going to playable in the newest game but I'm pretty sure Nana of the Ice Climbers is not tall, slim or especially attractive (unless you're into that shit). She is quite young though, I'll give you that.
Bynine forgot about Jigglypuff.
no love for krillin
you kidding me bro krillin is my main man him and usopp from one piece cause they both got the same va and they're both loveable dopes
at least he isn't yamcha
I don't know who this Yamcha is, but he sounds a lot like Raditz.

I wasn't trying to be a jerk or anything, why is that so dumb? I mean, feel free to tell me if I was wrong or something, and I might very well be - I'm not that up to speed on Nintendo stuff. But I think compared to the variety in the male roster, the opposite gender is pretty lacking in actual physical differences. And if Palutena gets in, well, that's one more on the same list as the others

You're right that most female characters in the roster share pretty much the same physique though, mainly because that most female lead characters in not only nintendo games, but media in general have that physique.
Because it kind of sounded like you were trying to start shit.
Ah, sorry... I never intended to start shit, maybe a debate at best (though I suppose the last sentence was a bit caustic.) I mean, I love Nintendo, but they're not immune to criticism, and I have what I think is a valid criticism of them that pertains to this upcoming Super Smash Bros, and to their games in general. (Dunno if I'd count Jigglypuff - can't they be guys in the Pokemon games?)

I didn't think about it like that. Sorry, guys.

Can you think of a single female human (or mostly human, like Hylian) Nintendo character that isn't white? This is a problem with Japanese media in general but Nintendo suffers just as much. What's the closest thing to a main character that Nintendo has that fits that description? The biggest one I can think of is Telma from Twilight Princess who appears to be African American... ish.
Nintendo is Japanese, if they did make a character that isn't white, they would have a chance of looking like Mr. Popo from DBZ. What I'm saying is, Mr. Popo for Smash.
No, Jynx for for Smash.

Very few of them are from our reality, and what white people see as "white" because there's "nothing foreign about them", Japanese audiences and designers see as Asian for the same reason. Besides, you're counting Telma but missing the Gerudo on which she's an allusion to. Those exotic, dark-skinned arab-esque amazons, they are.

You are right though, they only make a character non-white when they are supposed to appear exotic.
