Personally I always have dragoon turned off. It's cool and all but I hate it when the entire battle shifts focus to grabbing those. I like having items on but dragoon tends to derail the whole match for too long.

I swear the Dragoon never despawns. Once a piece of it spawns, it'll keep spawning for the entire round, and it'll only go away when someone gets all 3 pieces and uses it.

With the Dragoon at least you can pick them up quickly and you are still encouraged to beat the hell out of your opponents to get their pieces. With the Smash Ball on the other hand people end up chasing it around the entire stage focussing all of their power on nabbing it.

[editline]10th May 2014[/editline] That is that the Smash Ball won't spawn if any Dragoon piece has spawned until someone has gotten all 3 pieces and used it.

And I'm still sorta bummed that we don't have the Hydra. It would've been cool if both sets were there to fight over and you could only launch if you had all three of the right pieces. Even through the Hydra isn't much of a flier, imagine if Dragoon was a screen-wide vertical attack and Hydra was a horizontal.
