I wouldn't expect Nintendo to design it so that 2/3rds of the roster is locked on the screen. I imagine they would make the roster size grow as you unlock more characters, like Melee and Brawl. also I'm going to start calling this one Wiids, because "new smash" is too long

Btw in Melee the non boxed characters in the release version were all clones, sitting next to their respective character.

why would anyone actually want dixie over k rool though k rool is the most recurring villain in the series, has a variety of different outfits that could make for great palettes ala villager, lots of potential, etc dixie's gimmicks are, what, spinning around for horizontal momentum and being a partner character.

There are now about 15 pictures about this, only the first two are legit, the rest is just /v/ causing confusion, they don't even fit together, one confirms ridley, the other pac man instead, etc etc.

So if those numbers are the CPU levels, why would they have it in the same spot as the character icon? If you select a character for the CPU it would cover the level number.

Wii Fit Trainer's name is making me a bit skeptical. In every instance of footage, she's called "Wii Fit TRAINER", but in this she's all caps. Check the smash page and Direct, it's typed out like that while others are all caps. [t]http://i.imgur.com/erzqGPz.png[/t]

It's a little too convenient that the character icons in the "leak" are all in the exact same pose as the characters on the website. Also are we expected to believe that Bowser is an unlockable character?

Leaks are fake but not terribly surprising. What is surprising is I need someone to hit some sense into me, as time goes on the hype for Little Mac is dying and I'm not sure why. He's a cool character but rewatching stuff more dull he looks to me and I have no idea why. Edit: Seriously outside of 64 (I might be misremembering) they have never shown locked characters, the layout for them is rather ugly (why 3 super stretched columns?) and in some of the screenshots names are a little off kilter. Why would they show locked characters off at a best buy demo anyway. Also the guy claims they came from a demo station when the demos come on little discs that nintendo employees pop in (was at gamestop anyway for MK8's). A random best buy employee wouldn't have access to the disk.

tbh i don't think "the previous games didn't do that!" is a good reason to think they're fakes i mean, they ARE fakes, but sakurai has changed a lot of stuff in this game. there are no patterns, just confirmation bias that everyone plays into.

Something keeps bothering me about this "leak", it just doesn't look like a Sakurai menu.

I'm pretty sure all the images after the first 2 images are 100% fake, but I think the first 2 are also fake since I can't see a reason why Sonic would be in the demo, but not Bowser or Megaman or Little Mac. Also the menu doesn't have any kind of 3d background like the previous games. In fact it's just a solid color.

Yeah this things dumb and fake. Edit 2: Brawl back in jump fiesta had a demo with 8 characters, they didn't show the amount of locks. Another knock against this.

You know what Smash 4 needs? A button to turn their menus and character select aesthetics into Melee's menus and character select aesthetics.

But in all seriousness, it would make sense for the last slot to be a third party character, but if Snake were to come back he'd be right next to Sonic with Megaman being right after. I dunno how okay I'd be with Pacman getting in smash.
