Nearest best buy is over 2 hours away from me and even I if wanted to go I don't think it's worth it to have to pay tolls just to MAYBE play for a few minutes since I'm sure the line will be outrageous. Oh well, guess I gotta wait until Smash 4 for 3DS comes out.

After calling the nearest Best Buy hosting the event, they've informed be that they are "pre-booked to capacity" and that there will be a "priority waiting list for participation" Basically important people are paying to reserve the event for themselves early on and make everyone else wait. Fun.

Bunch of bullshit, I don't know why the Best Buy in waterford isn't one of em.(dunno if you're from that side of CT though) I actually went to the Nintendo Experience last year in Worcester. I didn't play anything because I didn't get there soon enough, so I didn't get a Luigi coin. It was really neat seeing MK8 being played in person though.

Do you guys think it´s worth getting a 3DS over the Wii U? I´ve always been more of a console guy, but I don´t know if I could wait long enough to get a Wii U.

There's not a whole lot on the WiiU at the moment, but it's probably safe to say that the WiiU version of Smash is the "definitive" version (lack of Smash Run aside). 3DS is cheaper and has tons of amazing games already, but WiiU has a solid (if small) library and tons of bundles. I play my 3DS more than I do my WiiU, but the WiiU is the place for the BIG titles (Bayo, Mario Kart, Zelda, etc).
