I wonder if it'll work on original Wii games that also use the Gamecube controller. I'd love to use the GC controller with the Metal Slug Anthology. Shame my old Nintendo Wii doesn't work anymore.

The adaptor aside, I´m a bit disappointed that Mango and Mew2King seem to be missing on the list.

Man I hope this GC controller isn't just given to the players at the event. Because I need this in my life.

I skipped out on the Gamecube when it came out for a PS2 (Gran Turismo man blew my mind) but a friend of mine had one. I never could get used to the weird, pelvis-bone shaped controller. It's somehow more bizarre than the N64 controller. Think I'll be sticking with the Wii U pro controller.

iirc the Gamecube controller was re-released for the Wii in Japan in 2008. It was crystal white, had a waaay longer cable than the original and is now quite rare. (mainly because it's the perfect controller to paint on, I guess) It was to advertise the fact that games like Mario Kart Wii and Brawl were playable with such a controller. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again, but I hope it'll find its way out of Japan this time.

Feels good already owning a Gamecube controller.

I do have several GC controllers, but they're all pretty worn down, loose control sticks, broken buttons, the usual battle scars, etc. Hopefully they include one along with the adapter.

I have a few but one of them is on the way out. I still use 'em often for multiplayer (Brawl, Double Dash) and would like to pick up a few more.
