I could see Miis working since you can customize movesets.
Would've been neat if you could import your AC:NL character to replace one of the villager's alternate costumes.
A little (and probably difficult to code) thing, but it would've gone a long way.

If you have silver/gold tools, they'd replace the normal ones, and the house in your final smash would be that character's house.
I really don't think Mii is a good idea.
If anything, I feel Villager plays a lot like how Mii would.
Same thing with my idea for Balloon Fighter fitting the "crazy, unexpected retro fighter" niche. (If there will be one this time, the idea of "patterns" is silly to me, especially after Ike's reveal.) I'd take Villager over Balloon Fighter any day though.
Villager could easily use a lot of NES/GB reference moves.
Am I the only one that thinks we're not going to get Mewtwo back?

I´d be surprised if we get any other pokemon character reveals besides Jiggly and PK Trainer.

Uhm.
PK trainer is confirmed to be gone since characters don't switch anymore. Unless they make him an independent character but I have no idea how they'd do that.

Jesus christ I have not heard "Breacking" the "Habbit" in a very long time
On a somewhat related note I really hope modding SSB4 will be as easy as Brawl so that we can replace music and shit again

Mewtwo's got too much going on for him not to return. He's 50/50 at this point.
He's 50/50 at this point.
So either he will or he won't be added? Great prediction, it literally can't fail.

I think he just meant that he has as much a chance of getting in as not getting in, as opposed to being a shoe-in or a hell-nawh.
Chill yo nips :v
(thought ofc I would love to have my Mewtwo back)
There's a high chance Mewtwo ain't coming back. Lucario was meant to replace Mewtwo in Brawl, and if they were to change Mewtwo's moveset in Smash 4 he just wouldn't be the same fun as the Melee one.
And Sakurai has really shown with the current roster we have for Smash 4 that he doesn't want many clones.
I just want to say that if you play as Wario in Brawl, and don't end matches with either the ass shaking taunt or a fart. You're not playing as Wario correctly.
It's also mandatory to use a fart to end someone at least once during a Brawl session.

That is exactly what I did last time I picked up Brawl.
I played through classic mode on easy (just to get back into it), and would always end each stage with a taunt.
I was extremely lucky to get Master Hand down to 1 hp, so I let my fart charge a bit, and finished him off with one last huge blast.

Mewtwo and Lucario only have similar neutral B moves, Mewtwo was planned for Brawl, etc.

Wait really? Where does it say this?
Edit: Yeah, stamp me dumb for asking a fucking question. Thanks bud.
I'm sure we will get most characters back, this is the biggest Smash bros yet.
Wait really? Where does it say this?
It doesn't, there are just files left over. There are also files for Dr. Mario and Roy. There's really nothing to say they didn't make space for Mewtwo then decide not to develop him.
The only thing I think that suggests is that the devteam imported a chunk of Melee's code to get a head start on Brawl, and didn't bother removing some unused and outdated entries, instead obfuscating them so they wouldn't cause bugs in normal gameplay.
This is a very common practice in the industry, it means you don't have to start from scratch every time.

Mewtwo has unfinished data in the Brawl disc, FYI.
Mewtwo has unfinished data in the Brawl disc, FYI.
Mewtwo actually has quite a bit more unfinished data than the other cut characters:
While Mewtwo does not appear as a playable character in Brawl, there is a significant amount of empty files on the game disc bearing its name. This includes a graphic effects file, a victory theme, and a Wii Remote selection sound (which no other scrapped character has)
I was looking at the page on there for Palette swaps, I didn't realize how many were in references things, or resembled colour schemes of different characters in their receptive games.

Like most of King Dedede's swaps are from Kirby Air Ride. Which makes sense, being they were made by the same people.
I want to believe Mewtwo will be back but no-one has ever made it out of the forbidden 7 zone.

Some of them are pretty damn obscure, like Dedede's palette that incorporates a freaking menu design from Kirby 64.
And lets not forget that one of Pit's alt costumes later became an actual character,

Sheik or Greninja, which will ninja the best?
They'll form a ninja allegiance to assassinate people who pick Ike.
I thought we like Ike...
People just hate how "OP" he was, even though the only thing that was powerful was his 30% KO hits.
