Lol imagine hardcore competitive smash
lol imagine the fact it exists
Do you really think voice chat is a good idea? With that many people everyone will be shouting over each other. I guess it'd be good for measuring reactions.
It seemed to work fine last year (aside from Nintendo's stream being utterly broken and laggy). If it gets too loud, people can just lower the volume of or close out of the chat. The reactions are the fun part.

lol imagine the fact that it's fucking silly.
I love Smash, but it's not meant to be a "competitive" game.

...except it's perfectly valid as a competitive game?
you can play the game however you want but don't dictate how it's meant to be played.

It has the mechanical depth to be played at a competitive level.
What's the issue?

Everyone screaming during the megaman reveal was the best part of the event, I'll remember that forever

there weren't even that many people last year, and not everybody was using a microphone iirc. i don't see a problem with just doing the same thing again.

Any game can be played at the competitive level if the community wants to.
Even Mario Party can be competitive.

mario party isn't something that "can" be competitive.
mario party IS competetive. you don't play it for fun, you play it to win.

its the kind of competitive spirit that has destroyed families and ruined everlasting friendships.
How likely is a release date at the upcoming direct?
I actually want a 3DS port of Budokai 3.
It's one of my favorite fighting games along with Dead Or Alive and Smash Bros.
I'm not just saying that as a fan of the series, it is legit a great game.
Budokai 4 would be the best thing ever. Burst Limit was the closest thing we got to that, and even though it was pretty good, I felt it lacked some things to make it more enjoyable. No Buu saga really put me off.

and many many palms.

I wish they would make an online Mario Party for the Wii U.
And make it good.
Has Kamek herself even been in a new Super Mario Bros game?
EDIT: seems to be a mistranslation, Magikoopas are called Kameks in Japan.

When she transforms the boss stages to make the boss fights "harder"

what a terrible post
this would have been valid a year ago, but if you even kept track of the news about smash 4 you'd realise that it's going to be a casual and a competitive game
"but muh party game" get over it holy shit
We've gone through this two times already, let's not make it a third.
This is bugging the shit out of me. Kamek is a guy, Kammy Koopa is the female Magikoopa.
Who can even tell, they're turtles.

Like I said in my post earlier, Kameks are what Magikoopas are called in Japan.

Yes, but here in the western world Kamek has become an actual character.
Yes, but here in the western world Kamek has become an actual character.
Which is why the Miiverse post was a mistranslation.
There's no visual distinction between Kamek and normal Magikoopas, though. The one in NSMBU, and thus the one in this stage, would most likely be Kamek, rather than just a normal Magikoopa, so I don't think it is a mistranslation.
Kamek deconfirmed.
When Kamek joins the battle, Alfonzo is in charge of the magic.
Alfonzo: "Leave it to me!"

heres an unpopular opinion
both casual and competitive is fun and works
people who get mad at either side is a tool
end
I'm a little late to this but that NMSBU stage looks fun as shit. I love dynamic stages like that and it's good to see the Wii U got this one

It would be really cool if it changed to all the worlds in NSMBU. It would give it a lot of variety, at least in my opinion.

What about Kamella?
