To be honest, I just wish they'd bring Kammy out of the Paper Mario series and into the main series as Bowsers right hand minion. The banter they have is always a treat to listen to or read.
The Mario RPGs are the only thing (aside from Luigi's Mansion) that I think have ever given the Mario universe any meaningful amount of personality or depth. They added lots of likable and interesting characters and made others (like Bowser) a lot less one-dimensional.

Mario as a character is still flat out boring anyway.
Mario as a character is still flat out boring anyway.
He has become an icon in the gaming industry. That is one hell of an achievement for someone "boring".
He has become an icon in the gaming industry. That is one hell of an achievement for someone "boring".
I feel as if Nintendo tried giving Mario a larger personality when he took a step into 3D gaming, it would've had a huge effect on his image. Mario's "boring" character is one of many things that have made Mario work all these years.
Mario as a character is still flat out boring anyway.
i think he's just become such an icon at this point that he's impossible to appreciate. the whole idea of an italian plumber who can jump really high rescuing a princess in a world full of mushrooms and turtles is pretty damn creative if you think about it.
I think I might use the Wii U Pro Controller over the Game Cube Controller for the new game. I'm talking about this [t]http://media.engadget.com/img/products/465/9yy6/9yy6-800.jpg[/t]

I've been thinking a lot, and I think Darkrai would've been a great addition. He could be a heavy status and stun based character like Mewtwo was, put people to sleep and dream eat, etc. Darkrai replacing Lucario would've been pretty cool.
He has become an icon in the gaming industry. That is one hell of an achievement for someone "boring".
Not really. Since he's such a blank slate there's nothing really to hate about him. He's actually the perfect mascot.

Puts people to sleep in a radius, drains their health and recovers your own health based on the damage done.
I always really liked the gruffer cartoon Mario voice, as well as Lou Albano's portrayal of him.
I always really liked the gruffer cartoon Mario voice, as well as Lou Albano's portrayal of him.
If Nintendo ever does a Sonic Generations sort of thing, I want Red Overalls Mario to have that voice.
Sadly Lou Albano is no longer with us. I'd love to hear him portray Mario again. I still love his current voice, but it's become way too high pitch.
If Nintendo ever does a Sonic Generations sort of thing, I want Red Overalls Mario to have that voice.
any Mario Generations style game is incomplete without Lou Albano Mario swinging his arms from side to side informing us that it is time to go and that we must do his self-titled dance with him.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/zPzsGPU.jpg[/t]
Pic of the day. Some stages have been shrunk down and made into trophies, like this one of Tortimer Island for the 3DS version. I wish I could have a figurine like this in real life.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/zPzsGPU.jpg[/t]
Well you can Sakurai, with the magic of 3D Printing!
[t]http://i.imgur.com/zPzsGPU.jpg[/t]
And then someone sends him a figurine. And then he reveals Captain Falcon.
Sounds like hinting at NFC. I hope not.
There will probably be a 3DS release date announcement at E3, right?
