I hope not.[/QUOTE] I feel like NFC figurines would likely only unlock extra/exclusive trophies for the games, especially if they bring back that photo mode where you can arrange trophies like in Brawl. At most, they'd probably unlock stages earlier for you. Which would be kinda cool. You get a cool little statue to put on your desk and you get to play a stage without having to go through whatever alternate unlock requirements it may have.

Look at how Uprising handled it: In that game, you could get card packs which would unlock idols for the gallery (which are just like Smash's trophies), but you could also unlock those idols just by playing the game normally. If they ever do an NFC figurine thing, I think it'd probably work the same way.

Hope we get more original trophies and stickies this time around, and less recycled assets and series lacking trophies because of no Wii/GC games in the series...

We would stand at opposite sides of a hallway or room and chuck a "ninja-star" at each other (usually it was a little ball, but we used to have this small square of a catnip toy that was perfect for this game) and the more we caught it, the stronger it became until one of us got hit and failed to catch it. After the 5th catch, it'd make an explosion instead of just more damage :v:

I wish we'd get another stage like the N64 Mushroom Kingdom with the pipes. The pipes in that stage are a ridiculous amount of fun.
