Makes sense they need to push other titles as well.
surely there's gonna be at least a character reveal. but they have other stuff to announce too. probably info on the new zelda, and their other unnanounced stuff.
I wonder what the Pic of the Day will be tonight. Perhaps a foreshadowing of what will happen today?
I kinda hope they atleast announce all the vets in the game!
I have a really wild speculation that if they announce Captain Falcon, there will be a new F-Zero game. If not, F-Zero is dead.
As a Wario fan, I like Wario whether he's going on rad adventures for treasure (and inadvertently saving the land), or just farting around monopolizing on the microgame market while chillin' with his buds. He's too cool of a dude and a hilarious dick of a character to not like no matter what he does.
I just want to see Wario. Period. While I'd love to see a more traditional Wario-land inspired moveset for the guy, the goofy antics of Brawl Wario are okay, because at the end of the day, Wario's still a brawler and encourages getting in people's faces.
I saw 19 new posts and was scared I missed the Direct like Sony's E3 conference.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/UHdGADy.jpg[/t]
Pic of the day. New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a game where you collect tons of coins. Thus, it's only natural that many coins will appear in this stage… Wait, is this really Super Smash Bros??
[t]https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.net/ss/zlCfzSCAqmkgmhTI5t[/t]
If you collect 100 coins, you transform into a gold fighter! For a short period of time, your attack power will increase and you won't flinch when you receive attacks. This unique stage's name is Golden Plains and it's exclusive to the 3DS version.
those coins would be really neat if platformer wario was in the game.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/UHdGADy.jpg[/t]
Wow from the zoomed out perspective the outlines really make the models like look sprites.
I just want to remind everyone Namco owns the patent for loading screen minigames. Get your analog sticks ready
No mention of the Direct? Should we be worried?
I was posting a good thing. Why'd you make it a bad thing
because we're not allowed good things
because we're not allowed good things
But Smash 4 is going to exist, so obviously good things exist
But Smash 4 is going to exist, so obviously good things exist
but smash 4 will be so good that life won't be worth living after you get tired of playing it, so in this case the good thing only exists to make you realize how empty your life is without it
but smash 4 will be so good that life won't be worth living after you get tired of playing it, so in this case the good thing only exists to make you realize how empty your life is without it
Oh God it's literally 4 AM. I've turned into Stu. I've lost control of my life. Thanks Smash
those coins would be really neat if platformer wario (implying your well-known disdain for [once again] and not wanting want to see warioware come within a 32 1/2 foot radius to smash, as opposed to just saying "wario") was in the game.
cripes we get it you dont like wario ware wario dont have to remind us every 2 posts stop
cripes we get it you dont like wario ware wario dont have to remind us every 2 posts stop
I read that as wario wario wario and thought you were just taunting him
cripes we get it you dont like wario ware wario dont have to remind us every 2 posts stop
While I'm one of the first ones to jump on the Wario Landwagon, I don't have much issue with WarioWare itself. My only gripe with the moveset is that a large amount of moves were pulled out of nothing instead of actually dipping into the pool of attacks that Wario could have used. And while the jutted animation style used in Brawl wasn't too problematic, after seeing how smooth things looked in Wario Land: Shake It later that same year I really would have appreciated him being presented as that treasure-hoarding portly plumber again.
The thing i originally liked about Wario was that his series broke the mold of what Mario was at the time, i liked the whole Pirate aesthetic Wario's "world" had, like you could actually feel Syrup's influence on the island, the Ducks were probably a little goofy but they seemed like cooler goons than Koopa Troopas. Holding up and doing the Donkey Kong Country trick of jumping mid air after dashing off a platform for longer jumps was a game changer, being able to ram into enemies was pretty aggressive but welcoming too, heck, having multiple endings was pretty neat for a Mario game..then there's the case of collectible treasures and somehow converting coins into something you can pick up and throw. I just seems a bit polarizing to see Wario have that much moveset potential, but somehow his past gaming exploits has been whitewashed by his Warioware persona, where the only features of his old series to remain is his fondness for Garlic as a Mushroom-analogue powerup and his physical endurance. (you know, like that time when he ran through a temple, Indy-style after he robbed a Wiimote. or the time he was tripping on expired Garlic....making him to think he was a Superhero swimming on pavement?) I only have easy access to 1, 3 and 4...3 looks ambitious because of having day/night which is essentially "doubling" the stages, but i dislike the whole Metroidvania schtick it has, hard to track what to do and stages feels really large. 4 just complicates Wario's gimp powers and I'm overwhelmed by where the Keyzors are..

To me it's not an issue of Wario Ware vs. Wario Land, it's just Sakurai's weird interpretation vs. how he actually is in the video games.
cripes we get it you dont like wario ware wario dont have to remind us every 2 posts stop
i stopped a page ago and everyone started talking about other things, you're the one bringing it back up although since you brought it back up you reignited the discussion, good work m8 e: not to mention that post you quoted wasn't even me complaining about ware wario, i was just noting how appropriate it'd be
Psi Guy can you stop posting please
can you try talking about video games then? What is everyone expecting out of E3 Smashwise, anyways? I don't really remember any big reveals for Melee or Brawl on the E3s after their initial reveals, so it's entirely possible we won't get that much. Then again precedent only goes so far when it comes to Smash so maybe they'll do something exciting.
